New Edition Posted March 31 Share Posted March 31 You can actually sing Du-du-du-du over Sheesh and it fits perfectly in some parts. YG really has not let that formula go. I thought Ahyeon would be the game changer but I was really shocked when she first came on screen because not only did she kind of come out of nowhere then dissolve into the ether having made no impact but she was ate up in seconds by the other rappers. I think they tried too hard to have Ahyeon be Jennie coded and she does look the part and is a better singer, but she has none of the skill or charisma when rapping. In the end Pharita and Chiquita got my attention, but the song was just so bad. It started off promising and quickly veered into a ditch then sank into the mud. It's lowkey over for YG in terms of relevance outside of China. Happy to see it.
