If someone has a claim on the bad ***** character, it's her. I don't really see Gidle as the tryhards you describe, though. To me, they are making fun music everyone can enjoy with a personal touch of femininity / feminism that resonates with them. I think they are more in it for the sense of Spectacle than any defined concept or art direction. That's what they always reinvent themselves and try new ideas. They gave a very energetic performance, and I loved that they maintained consistent interactions with the crowd. There were a few vocal slip-ups, but when you're doing intense choreo and constantly moving around the stage, it's bound to happen.
