Witnessed ET Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Eunwoo… he does have the potential to be a very successful soloist with the right material, this boring music ain’t it because he’s not a “vocalist” so people won’t take this kinda music seriously from him like how they do for Taeyeon, IU or Baekhyun. But having said that, he won’t be the biggest male soloist and break records if that’s what y’all are expecting lol. His public profile has mainly been bolstered by his looks, his marketability with big brands and his successful k-dramas among a specific demographic he still has enough talent to maintain a successful solo career though if he plays his cards right.
elevate Posted February 16 Posted February 16 Cha Eun Woo getting ready to open up his OF, I thought this day would never come 1

What have those idols done to you for you to hate them? Hating on random people on the internet isn't normal Social media is giving middle school energy sometimes, where everyone is mean for no reason. That said, beyond irrationality and tribalism, I can understand why one might gravitate toward one company or another, if only by indirect means. I personally cannot fully support a group from SM or YG today, knowing all the skeletons those 2 companies have in their closets. It's not possible, it gives me the ick. It's not the idols' fault, but it's like that. Therefore, while not a company stan, I'm more inclined to keep up with groups from JYP, HYBE or others. I suppose it can be like that for other people. I see where you’re coming from. But I will never understand how these people don’t understand the difference between a company and it’s idols. I like at least one idol or group from every company if i think about it, and I could never judge or hate a group based on what company they’re from. But there’s people who do exactly that and form their whole stan list and internet behavior/personality based off the company the artists belong to and it baffles me. I mean if they’re secretly paid by the company to preach the good word online then I get it. Otherwise it’s just weird. That’s all.
elevate Posted February 16 Posted February 16 MJ tried it with "Thriller" or whatever; he gave it a really good go, bless. But Ten? He delivered.
Zack Posted February 16 Posted February 16 50 minutes ago, Eternium said: Weren’t there a ton of rumors that SM was totally unprepared for their new girl group and they didn’t really know where to go with them? This would make sense and also explain why they had “Forever” in their back pocket before debut. The rumor (via Pann) was that the original girl group was planned to debut sometime in 2018 (sometimes the project was known by fans as White Fox but the name was never confirmed), but MHJ and LSM had constant fights over the concept and then she left, so the project fell apart. This was sorta vaguely confirmed by the exit of many SM female trainees around the time she left (including some trainees who had been there for like 8-9 years), plus her own comments shading the "worldview" concept after NJ's debut. SM then eventually regrouped their plans, with Ningning (who was already revealed by SM Rookies) and Karina (revealed in Taemin's Want) in line for a debut. I think they went through multiple line ups until December 2019 when Giselle (and Helen) joined SM. They then obviously settled on a concept and went with Giselle, who basically started preparing for Black Mamba only a few months after becoming a trainee. She did so well. They were supposed to debut in summer 2020, but for unknown reasons the original Black Mamba MV was (almost) completely refilmed and the debut was postponed to November. 2
