Spotify streams are getting worse too so is not like is all KR fans fault.

But it still wasn't the "main" title track though?

Had JYPE scrapped Gold completely, and only released Imaginary Friend as a stand alone title track with a high budget MV, the song would've done way better. Gold completely ruined the era.

idk look how other GGs have managed to get hits even with their 2nd title tracks or promo tracks. 

 

I honestly think JYP damaged their image in KR with a string of mid title tracks.

They will need a great track, right promotion and even luck to get a hit at this point.

that chorus still blows me away and the bridge... ugh just a masterpiece. 10 years into their career and giving us one of their best songs ever

I think it's the only song from this year - kpoop or otherwise - that I LOVED on first listen and it's even actually grown on me since then.

 

I also think it's just a very gay song. When I die and ascend into whatever astral plane the Buddhists proclaim in their teachings (I haven't read them but I totally support it), this song will be playing with a grand orchestra accompaniment and I'm gonna be, like, calm and at peace, but also really excited. The logic is sound.

In the current climate this is no excuse,  see how Fate manage to become Idle's #1 hit this year despite being just a b-side, same happened to Aespa with Illusion, the song managed to become a hit in spite of Girls floppage and mid promo, LSF's smart also comes to mind or Day6's happy.
