Is anybody else just super deflated about the state of kpop right now?

• Little girls trying to unalive, whistleblowers being threatened by the companies and harassed by fans instead of even pretending to be outraged at the abuse
• Everything regarding NewJeans and the DISGUSTING BTS fans supporting the campaign against them even after some of the boys came out in support of NJ
• Funeral wreaths
• LEGENDS like Twice and Red Velvet putting in the effort and releasing their best work ever only to be treated like nonevents while plagiarized talentless hack sajaegi + snow app girls dominate effortlessly, even after some of them are exposed for being exactly that by internal leaks
• International fans are starting to embrace the dehumanizing fan culture of Korea(I didn't even think a downgrade from the rampant exoticization of Korean people was possible)
• aespa having possibly the greatest year for a GG of all time(at the very least right behind peak SNSD and Twice) but not getting the level of international recognition they deserve shedding a light on how payola and media play completely own kpop outside of Korea to level that's even worse than we thought
• The fact that an entire country felt like ******* lightsticks were the best way to get the world paying attention to their rights being stripped away
  • the fact that they were right and it effortlessly worked 

 

Companies are getting more brazen and fans are getting worse. It really feels like we're strictly regressing at this point. Even untouchable IU released her first mediocre mini ever this year. Something is in the water.

HYBE/BigHit is like the biggest stain on Kpop atm  JYP, SM, and YG all had their issues but HYBE is just absurd. They simply grew way too fast with the money BTS was making and tried/still trying to be some monopoly of the Kpop industry but it won't work as seen with NJ/Illit. You can't copy yourself internally and expect no issues when dealing with real human beings.
