Absolutely devastated after reading the story and the summary of the KG's statement. Sometimes i forget that this is the Kpop industry. I hope the girls are doing well now.

 

AND I thought JYPE is suppose to be the company with the best environment for members. This completely changes my perspective for them and leave a very sour taste to this company, who I respected before.

 

Now I suspicious about all the other hiatus and breaks for other members from the same company such as Lia, Mina, and Jeongyeon. I hope their division are giving better treatment than whatever division VCHA is in.

I mean what happened to NMIXX's Jinni? Even if we go back, what happened to Hyuna to make her leave Wonder Girls? The only reason why we know the details now is because it's a white American girl going through her legal system so tea is being spilled.

Each division are managed by different people, with staff not overlapping with each other, so I think the experience might be different for each group etc..

 

VCHA is under JYP USA for example

This isn't a "gotcha" moment, especially when it involves serious topics like this, yet you're using laughing emojis? 

 

And let's also make this very clear, I don't stan JYPE as a company, I stan 4 of their groups only. 

I've said before that all Big 4 companies and the K-pop industry as a whole are evil and rotten. I was just pointing out that JYPE is the most organic out of the Big 4 when it comes to not engaging in fraud and mediaplay. That doesn't mean I think JYP is a "good" company?

Momo was literally forced to go on an ice cube diet right before debuting, with her fearing not being able to wake up the next day. Like I know JYPE is no different from these other companies. 

 

 

I hope the best for KG and the other members, and that she successfully terminates her contract.

Jihyo was called fat by the photographer, momo had to lose weight, Mina, Jeongyeon and Lia went on hiatus due to severe anxiety, and the Itzy girls talked about losing confidence… this coming just promotes friendship but they have never been good environment for female idols.

Eating disorders always seemed awfully normalized in kpop. I hope that as a society we can evolve to just not comment on other people's body because we all know what we look like and hardly a comment online will make it better, regardless of its intention. Also I hope we can start seeing our bodies as vessels that keeps us alive and healthy, not just an object of aesthetic pleasure.
