K-Pop Thread: Hey, boy, I'ma get ya, I'ma get you real good and I bet ya

Honestly they did decently considering that they're a gg in their 10th year who are "past their prime", and yet still being able to debut on Global Spotify, especially when the chart is more packed than every due to Christmas season. Most Kpop acts right now are literally struggling to debut on the chart during empty season. Though JYP should've waited and released the comeback in January

True. If they go in front of a corrupt judge, they could get screwed over. But I choose to be optimistic. And apparently so does @getinthezone

No. Their creative director, MHJ, left ADOR and is basically making preparations to give NJ a new home. The group terminated their contract with HYBE/ADOR who were sabotaging them because they did better than the CEO's girl group he came up with (LE SSERAFIM). NJ successfully dissolved their contract because MHJ left a loophole in there to give them a surprising amount of autonomy. Now ADOR/HYBE is going to go to court and fight it (and lose). So NJ is going to be able to work independently but not release anything for a few months. I'd bet they'll have a comeback by August.

It came out on a Friday. Expected strong boosts either Monday, Tuesday or Thursday on Hanteo. Saturday and Sunday are famously low days for sales.

i hope you're right, from the new bunch, i've really gravitated towards them the most, the whole situation is so messy... i share your optimism... ugh august, i thought they'd be finally releasing a full ass album after the 2 droplet two-songs'ed EPs

Corrupt  judges work both ways.  The Fifty Fifty girls wish Warner could've corrupted a judge or two, but they kept running into ones that would just follow the laws. :eddie:

It was inevitable that when these k-pop companies were making western groups that unlike their Asian counterparts the western members were not just gonna be silent and take the bs that so many idols have dealt with before as trainees.

I'm just shocked that it happened so soon. Hope she wins her case and I pray the VCHA members are okay. I'm sure this won't be the last time we'll see something like this.
