(if they were to attend the event) Though I won't have my hopes up tbh. If true, there's a chance just Bang Chan might go to represent the entire group's ambassadorship. All 8 going for Tommy means 8 slots filled when they might want to take more western celebrities

Rhyme Posted March 31 Posted March 31 25 minutes ago, Panda17 said: But the first single (Bubble Gum - How Sweet) is the Korean one. Is that for sure? Why is a Korean song the theme song for a japanese TV program

Asa, Ruka, Ahyeon and Pharita. these four i feel like the only members that have stage charisma and feel like real idol, rami looks too old, Chiquita looks to young and rora just forgetable. Id make them 5, take out pharita and rora 1 1

ket Posted April 1 Posted April 1 Sheesh and Batter up are failed by horrid choruses, if only they could a prouducer that can make decent choruses. It went from worse to worser.
Rhyme Posted April 1 Posted April 1 2 minutes ago, Panda17 said: No, I'm not sure about anything. Well the press release says first Japanese album so if it's the theme song for a Japanese TV program and being teased for two months with a CM then it's Japanese which is standard for Jpop promotions

It has been evident from the start MHJ isn't targeting Kpop fans but the general population for maximum awareness and appeal. That's how NJ ranked 1st in Korea on the Gallup poll, ahead of BTS and far ahead of other 4th gen groups. Getting her music and the members out there to reach to as many people as possible is her priority, and privileging association with popular brands and other respected organizations, outlets or celebrities over more traditional Kpop activities serve that strategy better. I've liked everything about each rollout so far, however unorthodox or unusual it appears at 1st. I think it's smart, and clearly it has been paying off.

Rhyme Posted April 1 Posted April 1 NewJeans debuting in Japan with 4 original Japanese songs would be really cool and something that would make them gain a lot of goodwill tbh that's impressive

The reception on JPN social media have been really positive, with many people praising how much effort and work NJ and their team put into everything they do in Japan, a bit at the detriment of Korean fans, unfortunately. Tensions between Koreans and Japanese people are still a thing. To be n°1 in both Korea and Japan at the same time is ambitious, let's see what happens.
