That's the most daesangs in a single year for a girl group (7), second only to BTS overall (11). They are the 3rd girl group with the most daesangs overall behind SNSD and Twice (~10). They also won nominations / prizes at international awards shows this year, Billboard Music Awards and Japan Record Awards. Newjeans are on their way to become the most decorated Kpop girl group in history! 3

Kim Wan Sun back in 1991 won an award for Best Fashion in the industry and nothing for her actual music (this is a performance for Grand Bell Awards of that year).
