It’s a specific sound that is still growing up in the worldwide charts and, unfortunately, still lacks established female acts globally. There's a major difference between copying the synth wave trend or the punk rock trend, for example, and literally doing a fake accent and making a sound that is related to specific cultures. It’s not innocent, and it's not just about being inspired. It's actually worst because it’s the exact genre BANG PD mentioned when he was talking about K-pop slowing down compared to other genres that keep growing. The bare minimum you could do is simply not normalize that trying to label that as « fake outrage » even if it’s was done in the past.
