Knowing SM, they probably delayed the contract end date for the time she was out sick, which was like 6 months. I guess we'll see around February 2025, but with her signing on to Youngstreet and Wish You Hell getting a vinyl release this week, she's staying for now.

The PR guy didn't correct anything and his excuse was bullshit. No other K-pop group has sold as much with a Japanese release as "Supernatural" did in years. It's very clear that MHJ eyed KARA's "Jumping" release and replicated it to allow for global availability for a Japanese release, which was brilliant. Aespa's got four Tokyo Dome shows and Hot Mess only managed ~170k sales because it's so expensive and hard to acquire - I had to pay around ~$130 for three copies that didn't even count for the charts. Meanwhile I can walk down to Target and get "Supernatural" for less than $20 and it is reflected in the charts. That was a brilliant move and HYBE is evil for downplaying it just because their loser CEO is jealous that he doesn't have the vision to pull that off organically. Stop blindly following some CEO just because you have a crush on some boys from his label 1

It has a cookie theme. Announcement on 9/29 and the release date is supposed to be 10/29 (maybe pushed back, or just a separate release day for global like ITZY and Aespa). One of the staff members leaked it a week ago.

I can see them delaying contract expiration if she got hurt on her own personal time but considering she was injured while working for them I highly doubt they'd have stopped the clock on her contract while she recovered. Then again this is SM we're talking about...

Which is about 5% above the bare minimum. And evidently they picked mid ones. Sucks. 3 9
