Darkling Posted April 11 Posted April 11 She is so pretty and talented and fun and she would be such an IT girl if only she was korean and not from a nugu group.

Lightsticks had already been used by J-Pop groups for decades. For example, this video is from Arashi's concert in 2003, long before Big Bang's debut. You can literally see the audience waving their light sticks. GD just took the idea and used it for his own group, just like many kpop companies take ideas from Jpop groups and companies. Just like GD didn't invented the finger heart thing either. Finger Heart was also made by one of the Johnnys groups decades before GD. 1 1
Odette Violet Posted April 11 Posted April 11 (edited) Did someone said Tokyo Dome? they're about to be on the same level as Twice in terms of Japanese selling power yet still no japan debut. The gaggery of it all Edited April 11 by Odette Violet 1 1

GD invented the high quality collectible lightsticks that are a permanent part of the group's branding. I don't even know what this finger heart rant is for nobody ever claimed to be the inventor of a gesture Edited April 11 by Sheep

GD invented the high quality collectible lightsticks that are a part of the group's branding. I don't even know what this finger heart rant is for nobody ever claimed to be the inventor of a gesture They are not disposable. Johnny's groups don't make group-specific light sticks. Their light sticks are specially designed for concert tours. It is made in accordance with the concept of the concert tour and is used only in this concert tour. So the company can sell light sticks multiple times for a group, it is more profitable. Fans also like different light sticks and collect them. But whether it is disposable or not does not change the fact that GD was not the person who came up with the idea. 1
