NEX Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 (edited) Aside from Debut (which is nicknamed with 1 word anyway) and Speak Now (which was intended to be called Enchanted) all her albums have 1 word titles. 1989 is a number yes, but kinda looks like 1 word anyway. Does it make them easier to remember/recall for the fans and GP alike? Is it a smart strategy? Do you expect TS11 to be a 1 word title too? If so, any guesses of what it might be? Sagittarius?? elincomprendid Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 I think its a good strategy to have short names cause it’s easier for people to name them and therefore “remember” them otherwise people get lazy For example with Billie’s debut no one will call it by its full name 3
Popular Post Maneater Posted December 30, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 30, 2023 You saying they’re all one word then naming several that aren’t 4 27
MidnightsAtPeace Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Unlike most of her song titles, her album titles are exceptionally short which is something that I find intriguing. TS11 will most likely have a one word title as well. Though I want her to come up with a longer album title for once, something similar to How Big, How Blue, How Beautiful by Florence.
Cruel Summer Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 It’s an excellent strategy that also has worked great for the similarly talented legend Björk, whose debut album is actually called Debut which is what we came Mixtape when we’re feeling nice - Taylor was just taking notes from a fellow queen

DougAF Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 I love taylor’s albums Speaknow and TaylorSwift 10 1
Strawberry Bubble Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 It's a good strategy, so everyone can memorize the tile, yes. 1
flashfox Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Yeah I guess, they are short and easy to remember
Big Bad Wolf Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 Really? What about: Midnighs (Deluxe) Midnights (3AM Deluxe) Midnights (4 & 5AM Deluxe) Midnights (More Version) 1 1
superben Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 She indeed has very good album titles. I love one-word titles, and Taylor has a knack of choosing words as titles. They are not too generic and they project a certain image about the album. 1 2

How are album titles like Red, Lover, Midnights NOT generic? Y'all have no awareness whatsoever when it comes to this little girl. 3 1 3 11
EtherealCat Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 just think how big she could have been with 3 word titles
Popboi. Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 It makes the titles easier to remember and reference, also go straight to the point to the respective album's theme/concept.

If Taylor’s generic, your fav’s in the same boat! OT: Her titles are easy to remember which is absolutely a smart strategy. If someone asks for it for Christmas, you’re not gonna forget which 1 they wanted 3

UnusualBoy Posted December 30, 2023 Posted December 30, 2023 I hadn't noticed that until now but yeah, it makes it easier to remember an album if its title is short.
