Even so, 10m after 2 years on a console that had over 100m users isn't amazing considering The Last of Us is the best selling Playstation game of all time (PS3 + PS4 combined). It's sold slower than God of War, Horizon, and Uncharted 4; games that came out when the PS4 had less users. Still an undeniable massive success, but also an underperformance.

Girl the director stated that the game was profitable Day One and it sold +3mil in the first three days. So it’s sold at least 7 million more since being profitable but that’s an underperformance meanwhile Horizon has been like $20 since 6 months after launch and was packed in with consoles, aka making them no money

Is it that surprising given how much controversy part 2 generated? With the remaster coming out, plus season 2… I think it’s safe to assume it will continue to sell relatively well for the years to come.

Because I have to imagine games like Skyrim have sold more than enough on PS3, 4, and 5 combined to make it onto this list. EDIT: read above that it’s first party titles only, I get it now!

I think it's pretty shocking it couldn't surpass H:ZD, GoW and Uncharted 4 in the first year. Controversy like that usually negatively affects the longevity of a game, but not really the initial sales. A recent example is how Tears of the Kingdom sold like 10m in 3 days based off the good will of BotW. I assume they have the remaster on its own line, but if it's sold just over 2 million, that would actually make it #1 on the list It was a great game, but def not deserving to outrank HZD and GoW.
