It's not a justification. We just don't care lol. The earth is doomed no matter if one person is polluting more or not.

Also, no one expects her to fly economic. It is what it is. She's not the only celebrity using a private jet. And she's in the middle of the biggest tour ever. She's not gonna go from one place to the other by bus.

Can you imagine the security risks while traveling from one state to the other in a bus lol

This true Charlie Puth flew private during the Asian leg of his tour

I wish this energy is given to every rich person  ( especially the mega billionaires that owns those mega yachts that produce even more CO2) instead of just one person. Like the hypocrisy is deafening like none of our faves do this.

Btw, I'm not anything close to a Swiftie just out of all the things to drag her on.... :rip:

The private jet thing has always been one of the most hypocritical drama in the stan world. The only difference between Taylor and most of ATRL's favs is that Taylor owns her jets, hence their flights can be constantly tracked/attributed to her, even when she loans them. Celebs normally just rent private jets instead. I'm sorry but y'all are dumb if you don't think your favs are doing the same :rip:

Exactly. Do they seriously think huge artists like Beyonce, or any other huge artist in a big tour are going to the airport and then waiting in the lobby for the next economic flight?

Does she not sight see and enjoy the places she visits?

Like…. You really gotta fly home to get chicken tenders, ranch and white boy?

Are you implying she should die? Cause that's not something allowed here. You better hide this post.

I mean, Beyoncé actually gifted Jay-Z a private jet and it was the 4th most used one last year. Yet no one ever talks about it. It's much more convenient to focus on Taylor for stan war purposes! :michael:

Not destroying the planet would bring us joy.

You guys are so beyond ridiculous. With or without Taylor’s private jet usage - the planet is still being ‘destroyed’.

What do you expect from someone who only ate their first burrito in their late 20s though

I think the issue that people miss when just falling into the adage that global warming can only be tackled via going after corporations because they contribute the most to it is that the solution will *also* be radical changes to industries that will change our individual habits as consumers because consumption drives this.

Of course it's silly and unserious to focus on small forms of consumption, but there needs to be eventual conversations over consumption.

It's clear the ability of humans to just travel by air is not really a sustainable invention of modern times. Whether that be for personal travel or the mass transport of goods because people want a special convenience or eight types of the same fruit readily available in their super market despite living in a climate where that's not natural.

Nothing will actually be reasonably achieved until people start becoming comfortable with "authoritarian" ideas like limiting certain behaviors. Like maybe flying isn't some inalienable right. Maybe it's the moral thing to do for governments to restrict how often someone can fly or how much cargo is flown. Obviously more focus is deserved on corporations than individual celebrities, but the developed world / first world / imperial core / Western world / whatever you want to call it has an over-consumption problem.

Absolutely this.

This is a very sensible post compared to your previous post which states she should be murdered.

I would fly even more if I had the money. Keep going :clap3:

PS: I'm more worried about taxation and stupid "environmental" measures making commercial flights more expensive and harder for working class people to travel abroad. Plane tickets should be accessible, tourism should be encouraged and if you have an issue with global warming force China to stop generating 30% of the world carbon emissions.

We've been using the guillotine trope for years to call billionaires out for destroying our planets and lives. Stop the white woman victimhood hysterics.

We? Who is we? I definitely don't claim anyone should die

She also gifts her billionaire friends jets too??

If she must insist on doing this then she should be taxed at an even higher rate for governments to fund more Net-Zero work. :cm:

What? The She there was Beyoncé. Beyoncé gifted Jay-Z with a private jet that was the 4th most polluting last year. Yet you wouldn't know because everyone here just focuses on Taylor. It's hypocrisy at its finest. Every A-list celeb uses private jets, so it's always funny seeing stans here lash Taylor and call her the most vile things despite their favs doing the exact same thing :rip:

ik you're used to interpreting things in the most literal sense as a Taylor Swift fan but the guillotine is a symbol of accountability for the upper class. you following along or do I need to explain it in more simple terms?

again this nonsense about corporations. of course they are also responsible but they prepare the food you eat.

adopting more sustainable production methods would increase further the prices and poverty rates
