No excuses to keep being late

They run this story every 2 weeks :lmao:

Dutch news ran the same story, when she wasn't even "late". Everyone was informed what time she would come on

Hmm, not really. The removed the starting times from the websites of the host and the venue and replaced it with a message stating 'The European tour of Madonna is in full swing, receiving very positive reactions. 💃🏻 However, the starting time is always subject to change. We expect the show to start later in the Netherlands as well, and not to end before 11:00 PM. Therefore, we advise you to plan your journey in advance and travel to the Ziggo Dome by car. If you still choose to travel by public transport, make sure to keep an eye on the departure times of the last trains. Have fun! 🪩' The Dutch version of the text even literally stated (translated): 'The starting time stated on the ticket is regularly not met.'

Eventually, the first show ended 12:40 AM. That is technically 'not before 11:00 PM', but it still shows there was never a clear time table for people to use to plan their journey and both the venue and the visitors were at the mercy of Madonna's choices that night. They even changed the message for night two to state it wouldn't end before midnight because there was so much outrage. People who rely on public transport can't get home anymore if it's that late.

I guess people should know by now she'll never start on time, but if even venues and organizors can't tell you what to expect because she just does what she wants, she should also expect by now people will get mad. Expectations because of previous experiences go both ways, lol

I was at the show last night and am supposed to go tonight....I don't even want to go tonight and I have front row....I'm absolutely exhausted. It ended at 1 AM :rip:

I truly and deeply love her but this is so unprofessional :doc:

yea, it's a big show so things can and do go wrong sometimes, but anything longer than an hour is just disrespectful as hell... luckily she was only 50 minutes late at my London show, which I didn't mind as I was with my friend so we just chilled and chatted together

the show is a slay though and worth seeing! but yeah she needs to sort out these waits

how does Taylor always start right on time, on the dot?

White people do too much. I'd see it as more time to pre drink. It's the holiday season after all! :michael:

Literally. It's a concert. Yall couldn't stay awake until 1am? She must still be in the UK... the bars, clubs, and restaurants would be packed here in the US after the concert.

I don't even want my concert to end at 10pm, yall got bedtimes?:deadbanana4: Well Madonna is nearly 70 and not tired,  yall will be okay.

her production looks cheap as hell compared to Madonna's, let's not.

Was this in the UK? There is a general curfew that most live shows cannot start past 10pm, I'm sure her ass got fined for this. :toofunny2:

“Just enjoy and get drunk” - I would rather see the show sober/buzzed and get drunk on my own time.

I’ve been to dozens of arena gigs and they have never started later than 9PM. If the artist didn’t arrive till close to 11PM, I would be pissed off.

I feel like some of you have never been to concerts :deadbanana4:

3 hours? Omg that's so unprofessional. I don't know lf true but once I read that concert promoters have to pay a penalty for every minute of delay.

this is what I'm afraid of for my show in Jan :rip:

I hope she will at least be on at 10  :rip:

most people have to work the next morning, but I guess a lot of you are... not current having any profession :michael:

and many people have to rely on public transport which won't be available after a certain time :coffee:

but sure, "tired at 10pm" is the reason for people not liking it :cm:

exactly why this is so annoying because if she is gonna start at a late hour, fine, just please let it be known and always start on time at that late hour.

but we are left wondering if she's showing up at 9:30? 10? 10:30? or even 11? :rip:

like I plan to come late at 9:30 because she will probably start at 10, but also what if she feels like starting "early" at 9:30 for my show? :rip: she just has no respect for people's time and it's annoying. I love her but this is the one thing I will always drag her about

I’m seeing her next week on a weeknight and will be upset if she’s late as hell like this lol

Sis I'm from Las Vegas. Some concerts won't even start here until 12am. And we all go to work the next day, it's very easy. Yall are boring and tired :eddie:

if a concert is advertised to start at 12am then the people who go to those are those who expect it. her show is advertised to start at 8:30, that's entirely different.

and do you go to sleep at 3am and then wake up at 7am? surely that 4 hours of sleep run is not good for you :coffee: maybe you have been trained for that your whole life, but don't expect the rest of the world to follow that ridiculousness. I will take "boring and tired" over the reputation that Las Vegas people have... :cm:

The same people complaining about her late start time will wait 3 hours+ for a dick appointment from Grindr, Sniffies, or Craigslist so let's not do this.

She also was 90 minutes late to her Amsterdam date

I was at the show and even though she was 3 hours late she totally made up for it.

She can be as iconic or a legend as she is, but she's so f rude and narcissistic for this.

People have their lives and they pay for a show, so she could be a little more gracious and make it on time.  Some fans travel to see her, some have trains or buses awaiting (even flights in some cases). Some people work the next day.  But because her majesty decides to do as she pleases, then "us the peasants" need to wait for her?

Hell no

Pretty sure this is standard for her? I remember folks complaining about her being very late for several shows during the MDNA tour a decade ago. :skull:

3 hours late is not accurate at all. honey dijon as an opening act, usually is on for 45-60 minutes, plus half hour to transition between opener and madonna, she would be billed to start usually around 10. an hour late is more truthful and accurate.

Right but its more useful to the press and haters saying its 3 hours...
