It was an extremely smart move. Especially releasing it before Xmas.

The only weak point is the cover. Ugh.

She was predicted to flop so had to do something so people would talk about her.

This is also true. 4 underperformed, especially the lead single. So, she skipped the single release.

This was a true cultural reset. Changed the game with that digital drop. Pushed alternative RnB to dominate the genre. The visual excellence. The musical excellence :flame:

This was the moment when Beyonce transcended from mere icon to legend.

What a MOMENT. Her second best album :clap3:

The album has aged well which is sad because it feels like the gimmickt release overshadows the actual music

It was a moment. I remember clearly where I was when she dropped it, the feeling :jonny5:

I was a big fan of hers and ST was the last album of hers I truly love.

I'm glad it happened, but since that era she switched her music and immaginary of hers into something I can't relate 100% anymore, I will always have an eye open for her and her music tho.

Drunk in Love, Partition, Pretty Hurts, Haunted, Blow whew, so many masterpieces. My favorite song + video is Haunted for sure, ICONIC.

I think stopping Grown  woman as the lead single was the smartest thing she did. It would’ve been a repeat of Run the World and 4 era if she did that.

This was the ultimate ATRL moment before real life got too real and this site got lame. :jonny6: The reach in my high school was insane, I remember the straight boys walking around saying “I woke up like this.” In her top 3 with some of her best songs and vocals.
