Which "tour tickets" argument? I'm indicating that her biggest markets in Latin America, based on streaming numbers, are Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina, which is why she visited those places. It's not that difficult to connect two different ideas.

I understand what's happening here: you might not be aware of the declining state of the music industry. I'll leave this video here, and after you watch it, you can return, and we can talk on the same terms, okay? I can't do all the research for you, I'm sorry.

Argentina is not even a top 15 market for her :rip: If she only visits countries with high streaming numbers where tf are the dates for the Philippines?? It's almost as if logistics, infrastructure, etc. are far more important than spotify numbers :cm:

Where are you from?

It's true but she has the commercial success and that's fine too. She probably won't be remembered in the future but she is popular these days and making a lot of money.

:bibliahh: little kids are already coming up with their own choreo.

It was very obvious when Iggy stepped on to the scene, and again when Cardi did. I remembering calling that out on here.

I mean there's that Callista Clark girl at Big Machine that Scott Borchetta literally said he was going to try to make the next Taylor (and for whom he used some revenue from Taylor's catalogue to give a big country push that failed). Aside from that, Olivia is the most obvious to me, but there are several artists that were tried to varying degrees.

Ariana and Kacey in a malicious way and Marren and Kelsea in an innocent way

Ariana, tbh.

There’s no correlation at all.

If anything, Ariana was set up to replace Mariah

sounds like a lot of wishful thinking being done

She already got the massive backlash during the ratty time period.

But her fanbase is so big and loyal , she would have to kill someone to have her career get negatively effected by it.

I think the industry knows the answer to the only popular that could potentially take on taylor swift, and that is Charli XCX

Taylor said this happened after the 2009 VMAs, so it must be some country-pop artist who debuted during that period.

I dont know why users are mentioning Olivia (when Tay is talking what happened after the 2009 fiasco)

especially when Tay proved that barely anyone can f' with her at that point (2021, Olivia's debut)

I can kind of see it for Kacey

and maybe Ariana, but Ari was kind of too different to her

They tried to use Angel Haze, Iggy, Cardi, Doja, even myself as ammo against Nicki.

None of it worked. Good for her :clap3:

I think she's gettin overexposed but her fanbase is too strong. They will carry her even if the whole planet hates her. They will protect
Same happened to Shakira with her gerard pique situation.
She had the whole army of latinoamerica standing by her side against the evil spanish guy

I personally will never drop her. Even if she gets in the worst scandal :gaycat3: Im a fan of tay since 2008 and im loyal to my pop girlies
To shakira to gaga to katy to madonna........im just so grateful they exist.

Nicki made her own grave though. Taylor didn’t :rip:

Every single radio spin of a female artists song was an attempt on Taylor’s life tbh

She’s too powerful now all the media is on her side :rip:

She’s so confident and her PR moves have never been so well executed

Her competition is flopping too. She literally is unstoppable for now.

Low key, Taylor would have slayed "All About You," so maybe you have a point.

Baby Boomers listen to Taylor Swift more than Gen Z and Gen X... You can't be serious

I'm sorry if facts are in contradiction with your beliefs, but it is what it is. GenZ is just more active on social media so that's the one you see talking about Taylor Swift. That's just bias.

Why is ariana even in this conversation when it's a known fact her label tried to push her as the "new mariah" to the point where mariah herself was being asked about ariana in interviews😭😭

Math aint adding.. I don't remember any newcommer in 2009 - 2010 similar to what Taylor was doing at the time.

Posted

Band Perry was similar.

But most of the clones flopped so we don't remember them.

Posted

Probably Kacey, who has always been shady to Taylor.

Posted

She lacks cultural currency that matters and nothing the Swift brigade says will change that

Beautiful stats though
