So sad. To be fair, he's kinda right, Beyoncé uses a lot of props. (And all pop stars do ok) [she looks fab in that handsy Venus outfit]

Take those away and you're left with an ok tap dancer who throws severe looks at the crowd to give the impression that what she's doing is of great importance. No mention of the unpleasant goaty vocals. Do we need to pull out "no dancers, no wind machine" receipts? this is from before she even went solo: Edited December 14, 2023 by swissman 1 1

Klein Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I think the real question should be whether or not she's the best but for the sake of this thread... of course.
Kristie Kuwa Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 Beys legacy is that someone like Tate cannot go on shows and just Playback but has to show ounces of live vocals to be deemed "legit". That right there is Beyonces legacy. She is the reason we do not accept mere lipsyncing anymore. Bey is a legend as a performer and no ONE, no matter past or present, was/is able to deliver Beychella. That was the best set anyone has ever played/performed. 1
Wicked Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I don't have enough music knowledge across centuries and countries to confidently answer this question.
superben Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 No, but she's top 1 most overrated performer of all time 1 1 3
TipToe Posted December 14, 2023 Posted December 14, 2023 I think no one with an unbiased vision would deny she's def. a monster in the stage, the whole package, born to do it etc., but i believe there's some justice to be done to the pioneers and older top tier performers because they are the blueprint and Beyonce wouldnt be who she is without the influence of the greats that came before her. That being said, i like to think that she's probably the best one of her generation and in an all time list she would sit in the top 10 with easy, or even a top 5 depending on the factors more valued.
FightDragonsWithMe Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 She's certainly the best performer out of her peers.
DonnaSpring Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 Top 5 all / Top 3 Female 1. Michael Jackson 2. Madonna 3. Prince 4. Tina Turner 5. Beyoncé 6. Lady Gaga 7. Janet Jackson 8. Britney Spears
slw84 Posted December 16, 2023 Posted December 16, 2023 I'd say top 3 or top 5 at worse but we are not going to deny her strengths now. We might have a go at her weaknesses but you should be just as quick to build someone up on strengths if you are quick to tear them down on weaknesses.

So Mozart is the top performer of all time?
Chris Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 I don't care, I just want her to extend the Renaissance Tour again.

Taemira Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 There are so many K-Pop artists who are better performers than her and all the other western pop girls out there so I can't really say yes to the question. 1
slayyyterslut Posted December 17, 2023 Posted December 17, 2023 Along with Madonna and Tina Turner, yes.
