VFAN Posted December 8, 2023 Posted December 8, 2023 The haters are livid that she is performing well. The excuses
sciencemagic Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 congratulations to the "queen of rap" for charting well on the music service that's more popular with rap/hip-hop Like another user said, I'm sure people were interested in hearing her new album, but we'll see what the second day drops look like on Spotify and Apple Music
Katamari Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 no its her first album since 2018 there was a lot of hype
dumbsparce Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) I'm happy for her. She deserves to have a big moment like this after carrying the genre for 15 years. I know the general consensus is that the album is kind of underwhelming but I like how light and breezy it is. Edited December 9, 2023 by dumbsparce
Aribiotch. Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 If this was anyone not named Nicki Minaj, yall would be gagging behind these numbers and saying Nicki is done. Probably the most hated artist on the site and yall can’t stand it doesn’t translate to the real world. 2

The album seems poised to dominate the chart entirely. To compare, Scarlet and Traumazine had 0 tracks in the top ten at this point. Queen had 5 tracks (its peak) Seems like PF2 is an instant SMASH for Nicki and female rappers overall. Surprised? Why is this happening? 55 minutes ago, VFAN said: The haters are livid that she is performing well. Aethereal Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 Anything above Queen is a success. Nicki has already outperformed her previous era when it comes to singles, as for album tracks streaming anything above Queen is a success.

Queen Latifah was nominated for an acting Oscar 14 years after her mainstream debut album (2003) and scored a number one box-office film the same year with “BDTH”. She was also nominated for two Grammy’s for her jazz cover album the following year, winning one. She would win an acting Emmy and Golden Globe award 25+ years after her debut (2016). It's only samples that are not even reworked to make the song different Sampling isn't new lol - in fact its extremely common for 21st century music. Just because you're more familiar with the samples Nicki used doesn't make the practice new. I didn't see the same energy when Cardi's first two #1s also involved heavy sampling. Ya'll are just haters - if the song is good, it's good. who tf cares about what it samples 1

Errrrr you're talking about industry awards? The post was about being in demand? How much was Queen Latifah selling 14 years into her mainstream career and were people hungry for her music? I think that's the question.
Phaunzie Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) No, shocking that the usual suspects that had so much to say are absent. All that stress must have gotten to them, so I guess they had to listen to Bongos to destress. Edited December 9, 2023 by Phaunzie
BrandNewBrandon Posted December 9, 2023 Posted December 9, 2023 (edited) Not a Nicki fan but give credit where credit is due folks. The performance of this record, even if it's just for a week, has basically cemented Nicki as a music icon. Edited December 9, 2023 by BrandNewBrandon 2

Not a lot of female artistes can say they've been able to do something like this. 1
