She obviously doesn't care, if she did, she would present herself as she did during IA...SF, it isn't incompetence.  She releases what she wants despite how she thinks it'll perform.  She cares more about the quality of her product, which is what that original poster was saying.  Maybe now you'll understand

You’re talking about a woman that’s been around for 27 years… 27 years into her career she had a #1, can still sell albums better than new pop girls with more recent hits and has always had a touring demand.
