Carry My Heart Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 CNN: Taylor Swift has it. Elon Musk and George Santos don’t Quote Taylor Swift’s phenomenal success is partly owed to her aspiration to authenticity despite the “constant reinvention” that “pop iconhood” requires, as Jeff Yang noted. Quote “No one else does it with the same casual, frictionless aplomb as Swift; her self-shifts don’t come off as acts of extravagant pick-me theater in the mode of Ariana Grande, or explosive artistic statements a la Beyoncé. Instead, they’re more like chord changes; variations in the key of Tay — eyebrow-raising, but never too extreme or off-putting. Which means that throughout all of her evolutions, she has remained accessible, approachable, personable and projectable; a cool hang for the guys, trusted bestie to the girls.” Quote Swift’s Eras Tour “could become the most lucrative music tour in history. It will, all in, represent a $5.7 billion boost to the US economy, while injecting a profound degree of monetary stimulus into every city hosting her, given that her fans collectively spend around $93 million per show.” No wonder that “Swiftie” was shortlisted for the Oxford Word of the Year. PoisonedIvy Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 I mean it’s true but they shouldn’t say it… 4
PoisonedIvy Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 No but my true sentiment is I hate when one woman is torn down to uplift another, so this was an ugly moment 10
liquiddiamonds Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) Ari may be a homewrecker, but she’s not a pick me at all. Her career has actually a natural progression 💀 Edited December 3, 2023 by liquiddiamonds 2 2
Into The Void Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Did they have to tear down Ariana to make a statement 1
Popular Post byzantium Posted December 3, 2023 Popular Post Posted December 3, 2023 When will people learn that you can compliment one woman without tearing down another? 22
Klein Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Quote No wonder that “Swiftie” was shortlisted for the Oxford Word of the Year. Is this true?
Bhabylon Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 This sounds like it was written by an old white man trying to be in with the kids 2 1

FolkLover1989 Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Ok 2 things here 1) They shouldn't have dragged Ariana 2) What they said about Taylor is somewhat right , she has changed and evolved a lot but not on the face that some artist love to do for shock values. ( except LWYMMD but even that was right for that time)
Revolution Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 men, stop pitting women against each other challenge 3
Maroonx Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 ouch, kinda uncalled for to drag other artists like that... But good for Tay for getting some recognition x
Cheers Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 That’s cool but what did they say about Tate McRae
Blue Monday Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 (edited) Embarrassing, and what does this even mean anyway? Of all the pop girls Ariana feels pretty low key actually Edited December 3, 2023 by Blue Monday 2
honestopinion Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 Can they praise Taylor without mentioning other artist for once? Words about Taylor are iconic but it makes other fanbases hate Tay more while she has done nothing bad to them 1
Solaria Posted December 3, 2023 Posted December 3, 2023 The second flamebait thread this user has made today, my god 1

She does not need do go out and do wild things because the music she makes is already captivating enough.

Is the title not what they said? I made a thread on it because the AG quote is weird. Edited December 3, 2023 by Carry My Heart
