Bloodflowers. Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Once Taylor reaches her 40s then YES! She can have her dancefloor diva moment like Madonna, Cher, Bey

It’s all about being able to emote and Taylor has no problem with that But I’ll give Swifties a Poplor break. They kind of deserve their stadium rock era
Ron Ng Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Her reputation performances at the Eras Tour proves that she can totally make a decent dance album
Digitalism Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 This is more interesting that what she is doing now but it probably woulnd't be just dance music. A mix of her 1989 brand of pop and some EDM and Disco would be great
Saint James Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 vocally yes she could. but she'd have to be less involved with the writing and production, i don't see that happening.
Virgos Groove Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 No, but her Ray of Light would be a blockbuster. Somebody lock Jack in a basement and get her some proper producers. 1
SlowGinFizzzz Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 I'm afraid she doesn't have the range. Judging by her discography so far, I simply don't think she has this deep understanding of pop/dance music like Madonna the she would need to pull off a Confessions (let alone a caliber like Ray Of Light). After the re-recordings and Eras, I see her mostly staying in the Folklore/Evermore lane, with the occasional more radio-friendly album like Midnights. 1
BlossomSoul Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Doesn’t have the range? Like vocally? Neither does Madonna
Mornings Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 As long as she loses that cheeky, *wink wink* lyrical delivery and the theater school “oooohs and ahhhhs” anything she makes will be really good
Grizzo Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 well don’t forget she tried euro dance once when she wrote This Is What You Came For and her demo is available on youtube (it’s just ok tho)
Breathe On Moi Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 not in a mean way but Taylor is just way too corny for something like this. 1
Dante Silva Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Would the southern U.S. states accept it if Taylor went electo/ EDM? I still think her team consider what that most conservative of demographic groups in her entire fanbase would find acceptable before she does anything. She has many fans in the Bible Belt. People in Texas might treat her like she was a Dixie Chick or something. The numbers in those states are so large, there is no way she’d risk losing them or put herself in a position where the media accuses her of trying to occupy a space taken by Madonna.
aesthetic bih Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 Music would be no problem, however... Taylor would need to dance... I don't think that's one of her strongest suits and sis is aware too
Phaunzie Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 If this is what she does on the dancefloor, then No. 1
PaloSanto Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 I dont really see it working that well. I would definitely be here for a feature on someone else's dance/EDM record tho
Peroxide Posted December 2, 2023 Posted December 2, 2023 She’s proven she can do pop extremely well… so the jump to pop-dance shouldn’t be that hard to envision. She’s already done electro-pop on songs like I Did Something Bad and Dancing With Our Hands Tied etc so there’s clearly a foundation there. As others have said, if she wants her very own Future Nostalgia/Fever/Confessions moment then she NEEDS a new team of producers to help shape her vision. I fear Taylor will keep working with Jack until she ever so slightly underperforms… (think Lover).
