It's disgusting that someone who recently and continuously gets called out for her ignorance towards important social causes continues to display this behavior. Especially when that someone is a famous billionaire - meaning she has massive resources and a huge platform that she could use for good. Instead, she continues to build on her track record of racism.

 

RACISM. Let's not forget, she has previously made insensitive comments, referring to black people's rights as something that do not matter and that she "could give two fucks about." This attitude towards an already marginalized community was UNACCEPTABLE and should not be overlooked when discussing her recent zionist sympathizing.

 

ZIONISM. Now, by attending a zionist wedding, she confirmed her alignment with a political ideology that is based on the total oppression of Palestinians. We cannot ignore the ethical implications of her attending such events without addressing the issues surrounding zionism and its impact on the most basic human rights.

Demi had a Zionist manager who purposefully misused her spiritual needs by putting her into a propaganda scheme. After being called out, she exposed that she was paid to visit/post about it and apologized. Since then she has not displayed Zionist takes.

 

I think it's important for people to learn from their mistakes and display at least improved actions moving forward. Selena almost did that when she said she would donate Rare funds to charities. But choosing a Zionist one when clearly the funds are not needed in that side of the conflict as they already have 10 billion dollars from the US government going to help them occupy and destroy Palestinian lives... she should have publicly retracted donating to that fund by now. I think Selena tries to have good intentions but ends up making it about herself. Instead of apologizing, she always gaslights everyone and takes a break. She is a good person but has a very fragile ego that sabotages her.

All I did was call out problematic behaviors and said I hope the celebrity learns from it and realizes her negative patterns. Remember celebrities are human,they still process information and carry emotional complexities the same way any regular human does. I choose to have compassion and hope humans can grow for the better. I agree Selena has been self centered. BUT I've always been more concerned about the actual incidents going on and save my indignation for those incidents, rather than anything concerning Selena Gomez. You do you, but I personally am saving my cancellation for Netanyahu and Biden.
