Please explain It's apartheid system is heavily influence by location such as Gaza, West Bank and Israel proper. Arabs in Israel have equal rights to Israeli but they might face discrimination from the majority. However West Bank and Gaza are the textbook definition of apartheid.

You have definitely raised important points, but: - Ashkenazi Jews more often than not took Polish/German surnames which does not necessarily reflect on their ethnic origin. Again, there was very little intermixing with the Eastern European population. In all the materials I've seen of Jews during the Holocaust they were a visible minority, and Holocaust was a racially motivated event. - Even Netanyahu (who is a POS) would not pass as Polish in his youth, and his mother was born near Tel Aviv in 1912. I just think the discussion is a bit more nuanced than White Europeans against Middle Eastern people here. I support criticism of Israel's actions but the rhetoric online where people often equate Jews to Poles or Germans "with special snowflake syndrome" just doesn't make sense. I do think Israel is a toxic state and that a ceasefire should occur so that major changes could be made finally Ashkenazi Jews are half Middle Eastern and half European. Most of their European ancestry come from Mediterranean Europe though around the late antiquity not so much from Eastern Europe. It is ironic that most of the Ashkenazi Jews' historical maternal ancestry is non-Hebrew (European) and Israeli law only considers Jews with Jewish mother as proper migrants.

If Hamas is putting Gazan women and children in harm's way in an effort to boost international sympathy, that's not Israel's fault. Again, I ask you: why won't the men of Gaza allow women and children to shelter in the 500km of underground tunnels where all the men are sheltering? 2 2 12

You know who could also not murder civilians? Hamas. You’re telling the Jewish state that people are allowed to slaughter 1200 people, and they can’t retaliate because they’ll “not murder civilians”. Every nation in the world would retaliate. That’s why almost any western leader emphasizes that Israel does have a right to defend itself, they try and get Israel to minimize casualties where it can. It’s a hard job when Hamas embeds itself in its civilian population, and doesn’t build them any shelters, launches rockets at Israel, and yet relies on Israel for its power because it’s rather funnel away the foreign money aid it gets than use it to develop Gaza. Hamas can no longer govern Gaza. They have to go. 1 7
theflying Posted November 28, 2023 Posted November 28, 2023 (edited) Furthermore, the fact that a moderator decided to not only keep this topic open, but *chime in* and essentially endorse the topic being open, is disgusting. Like, you want to talk lazy response? How about you address this entire bigoted topic of acting like someone attending a Jewish wedding means they’re “endorsing genocide”. There is NO need for this topic. If people want to come to ATRL to talk about the Israel-Palestine conflict, it does not need to happen in an inherently bigoted topic like this. I am *so* tired of the bigotry and casual anti-Semitism being allowed to flourish here. Edited November 28, 2023 by theflying 1 3 9
