Brenda lost to Mariah by about 2 points that week, and Mariah beat her by 15+ points every week for the rest of the holiday season.

 

Real points on this current prediction are 25,628 for Mariah, and 25,598 for Brenda, that's a difference of 0.3 points... definitely the closest Brenda has ever been this late in a tracking week.

 

I always wonder what Billboard would do if there's ever an actual tie down to the decimal...

BB would then go with the title that made the biggest gain.

Why would they do it for a song that has been #1 for 12 weeks?

And Mariah is literally in the cover of the Spotify playlist and she's #2 on the playlist. It's not like she doesn't have any playlist support

The concerning thing is that it has been actually losing ground these past few weeks. It was actually the 2nd highest charting song the first week, ahead of RATCT. Not only has LC lost ground against RATCT (understandably due to the push the latter is getting), it is also losing ground against JBR.

 

I thought if LC was going to break into the Top 3, this would be the week. Now, I'm not so sure.

 

I have a strong feeling that RATCT will be the #1 this week because when Billboard writes the article...

She was the 1st artist ever inducted into both the Country and Rock & Roll Hall of Fames, in 2002. Dolly Parton didn't join her til 2022. So she had a great career.

This is a new tracking period, day 2 of 16 Dec. The 09 Dec Charts revealed Monday had a 12 midnight cutoff Thu/Fri.
