6 quarters in a row of losses. 2023 Q4 is shaping up to be a disaster so 7 quarters in a row of losses.

Somewhere out in the distance, Treasure Planet is laughing.

The whole Jonathan Majors/Kang situation couldn't have come at a worse time . Now they can't really build the story around his character. They need to make a decision on replacing him before even the court case is done , otherwise they're in for even worse loses to come .

Rumor is that they’re nixing the whole Kang story.

Well, the products are bad so ain't nobody buying them. Release Frozen 3 and make Elsa a lesbean for a box office redemption.

It’s what they deserve. Bring back 2D animation.

It actually gives them a reason to scrap the Kang/multiverse saga which no one likes

Yes, Dr. Doom is apparently about to become the main villian.

Lindsay Lohan is coming for the rescue with Freaky Friday 2

The public opinion of them is lower by the day and they are digging themselves deeper with the Mufasa movie and Snow White remake. They are seen as creatively bankrupt. Botched remake after botched remake.

They've really had a dirt poor year, they should be so grateful for Avatar 2 bleeding over from last year and Guardians 3 because that's basically been their only wins.

They should have stopped remaking films that already were made. People want original ideas. They should have stuck to that. They wouldn’t have been in this situation

Honestly aside from the million other problems that everyone knows and mentions, I think people just genuinely found other alternatives during the lockdowns especially with the originality and novelty of for example, East Asian pop culture (anime, k-drama, etc.) that people probably wouldn't have discovered pre-pandemic and pre-TikTok.

Another thing is that there's such a stigma to being a "Disney Adult" now, I don't even know where that came from or how it got big.

Disney (or at least their current branding and output) just feels so 2010s and outdated now. It's just the cycle of life. Pretty sure a Barbie 4 or Super Mario Bros 7 in the 2030s would be the same.

Also there's clearly more competition on the animation western realm, back then it was Disney vs DreamWorks and the occasionally underdog like blue sky, but now you have universal, sony, Netflix, Paramount and they all want a piece of the cake. It doesn't help that Disney has lost the race when it comes to creating franchises that are not princesses.

Should have secured a role for box office draw Lady Gaga :giraffe:. She's coming to save the DC Universe instead.
