Last Boy on Earth Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 (edited) I am poor and I just received a letter from hacienda this week accusing me of stealing money from them and to give it back and I did not steal anything, I’m also an immigrant. They find ‘loopholes’ that do not exist in anything. After this I 100% believe they’re scamming Shak, if they do this to poor working class people like me imagine what they try to do to millionaires Edited November 18, 2023 by Last Boy on Earth 2

Don'y you like schools, roads, hospitals? Who do you think funds those in Spain? lol Next thing you know, you all will be vouching for the scam that are digital nomads - people who reside in countries like Mexico and Portugal but pay no taxes and exploit the local economy to enrich themselves only. Celebrities that 'locate' elsewhere are no different. Madonna did the same shite in Lisbon, relocating there so she paid less taxes. The first great gentrifier of Lisbon, which is now so dead as a culture city that no-one from Portugal even goes there anymore. It's just economic scams. Shakira lived in Spain, she should pay her taxes there. Worms for brains. Yea we all know what suppose to happen when paying taxes but it's not. The USA alone has one of the worst infrastructures, the city streets are horrible, crime rate are at a high, US territories that has been impacted by devastation from natural disasters are still not fixed(and I'm living through it). The money is not going to where it suppose to go. Instead it's going to war!

Good for her for building schools in her native Columbia. She lived in Spain, she should pay her taxes there. It's a SCAM when foreign people live somewhere but don't pay taxes. It's ******* disgusting You accusing Latinos of enriching themselves off Spanish people The absolute nerve these colonizers have 4 1
Dark Phoenix Posted November 18, 2023 Posted November 18, 2023 Tbh I think that she’s guilty, wasn’t her name also mentioned in the Panama Papers a few years ago? And also rich people always doing shady things, why then she sent her money to Caiman Islands to evade paying taxes? It always seems like no money is enough. Of course she was living in Barcelona and she has to not be cheap and pay that money, they need that to finish La Sagrada Familia. 1

Nefertiti0 Posted November 19, 2023 Author Posted November 19, 2023 Shakira is reportedly considering admitting tax fraud in deal with prosecutors to avoid a lengthy prison sentence Spanish newspaper El Mundo claimed she was finalising a deal to avoid a lengthy prison sentence. It reported “everything was pointing” to the Waka Waka singer not having to do prison time. “In the last few days Shakira’s lawyers have intensified their contact, both in person and remotely, with state prosecution representatives and contacts that represent the interest of Spain’s Tax Agency. “It appears both sides will reach an agreement in which the artist will admit to her crime, will pay a high sum of money as a fine, and will receive a prison sentence of less than two years which she won’t have to serve because she has no existing criminal record in Spain.” Shakira is also facing a separate tax probe in Spain, and is running separately to the case due to go to trial on Monday. Officials confirmed in July a court near Barcelona had agreed to investigate her at the request of state prosecutors for suspected 2018 tax breaches. source
