Beyoncë, I’m afraid. Everybody loves her - but apart from some songs on Renaesauce and LemonAIDS, she is just so so **** :weeps: a damn tragedy, really.

I agree with Beyoncē

She's amazing at what she does, but majority of her solo work is kinda unlistenable for me

Shes definitely not an album type of an artist, more of a single's type tbf

the one that one swiftie moderator always gives me warning points for mentioning her name in any post

This is prime pick me girl/pick me gay behaviour.

Reminds me of the “Britney sucks, punk rock is my thing” girls in the 00s

Rihanna and Katy Perry as they have the most classic songs.

Lana pertains to smash hit songs that the whole GP loves but when it comes to the whole body of work or their artistry, they bombed or people don’t care about the artist.

This is also applicable to one hit wonders and pop girls with only 1 mega smash hit in their album and is weirdly proportional to the other songs on the album. Like Carly Rae’s Call me Maybe, Miley Cyrus’s Flowers, Ellie’s Love Me Like You Do, and many more.

Just say you want people to say Taylor and go. It’s not like everyone likes Gaga or Beyoncé.

Ironic that you’d use a Lana quite though

Out of all the girls this forum stans for, the one woman who has pushed herself artistically the most over the last 15 years, has had the most ambitious projects, challenged the way we listen to and experience albums in the current climate and received the most critical acclaim for her work is the one who's 'not that good' and 'not an album type of artist'. :deadbanana:

There's no saving for this forum. No wonder the bar is in hell for these new 'artists' when this is the mindset the new generations of listeners have.

I truly, deeply pity all of you who are not able to see the greatness that's in front of your eyes to appreciate while we still have it. Because as much as she is still going strong, Beyonce a is a relic of the past and the last of a dying breed. Once she's gone, there's no real superstars left. It's really dire.

Imma really gonna need someone to help me keep track of the narrative around Taylor cause one second she's local and unknown outside the Anglosphere and nobody listens to her outside her fanbase, then suddenly the whole world loves her.

Which one is it? I'm lost.

Hell, no. The narrative of Taylor being local stopped in 2020, with Folklore. She is very well-known now and whoever says otherwise, it's just delusional. That being said...

OT: Taylor.

Spoiler

And Bad Bunny.

I don't like Katy Perry yet I wouldn't mention her here because it's not like everyone likes her. :michael:

Being successfull doesn't mean everyone like it so what she says it's kinda a trite pointless sentence.

Also because Lana music is very liked and popular and even if not love by everyone is more easy to say Lana makes good music than other more radio friendly pop girl.

So this thread makes not sense cause you can apply it to Lana since "everyone" loves her music too and she's very popular.

So apparently Taylor fits this, despite her being local and fanbase driven? OTHs need to pick a narrative :suburban:

I'm sorry but this can't be anymore incorrect   Beyonce's albums (esp Lemonade, ST, Ren and maybe except IASF) are the definitions of ALBUMS and not a collection of hits like many other pop girls
