I just meant out of the two realistic frontrunners. I don’t see the others as having a serious chance, even if they were good games as well; the hype and industry pull around BG3 and TOTK is just too high.

I hope Mario Wonder snatches GOTY, that game is so much fun and has lots of charm. I couldn't stop grinning while playing it.

 

Resident Evil 4 deserves too, but after the REMAKE2 snub I have low expectations.

It's kinda like Dungeons & Dragons but in a video-game format.

It's a turn table game, so when you do combat, you can do it in rounds where you (and your party members) can do certain type of actions. So it is very good for people who like to take their time thinking what they wanna do, but are not as good with mechanics/reflexes.

Also, the visuals are incredible, as well as the in-game cinematics/dialogue and the performances of the actors (almost all NPCs in the game have an actor who, beside doing voice acting, also does motion capture for them)

It’s not like those at all, honestly - it’s more like Divinity, an RPG (with a sequel) developed in the same style by the same company. It’s a turn-based RPG game with various character classes and party NPCs, it has fixed top-down camera angles for the most part, and it’s based on a Dungeons & Dragons setting. I can tell you that as someone who thinks of Elden Ring as maybe my favorite game of all time (next to the latest two Zelda titles), I didn’t care for BG3 at all in terms of story or gameplay and the camera stuff gave me motion sickness. However, it has gotten excellent reviews, so my take on it is I the minority, for whatever that’s worth.
