kexin Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Superhero fatigue with zero star power unlike the original Avengers lineup. Do tune into Loki Season 2 though, arguably the best thing Marvel has done in the last few years and their best D+ show.
fauxtography Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Whatever is happening, I hope more original/fresh IP movies start coming out. I feel like I’ve been so detached from film the last few years excluding horror films because the only thing that’s ever in theaters is super hero bullshit remember when they used to just make random movies like suckerpunch. Like, gimme something interesting and fresh
Gorjesspazze9 Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I mean 3 of the best selling movies this year are Marvel superhero movies so..dead where? but there is an over saturation, even as a hardcore fan it’s overwhelmingly and the quality is mostly Average.
Aristede Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 People need a break. We've been inundated with superhero films the past 20 years and people are finally ready to see something else. I'm sure they'll be back, though. People just need a few years off. Just like what happened with slasher movies. A million Friday the 13th ripoffs came out in the '80s and people got sick of them, but then Scream revived the slasher film about 10 years later. 3D comes back around every 30 or so years, etc. 1
Robert Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 It became over-satursted and the Marvel movies are way too formulaic and the universe is overly-complex for casual film goers.
Digitalism Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Too many badly written story lines happening at the same time
Danny789 Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 A break is needed and with Deadpool being the only film we’re getting next year, and will probably be huge, that’s what we’re getting. 1
Great808 Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Spider-Man and BP smashing the past 2 years along with the new GOTG shows there is still demand they just need to get back on track quality wise y’all putting too much thought in y’all’s replies and talking from stances of hate. 1

kandicha Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Too many characters and storylines for casual viewers to keep up with I was never into superhero movies but I caught up with them to watch Endgame with my ex back in 2019 which I thought was going to be the end of it and then they just kept going
fridayteenage Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 top 15 films this year in the US: superhero sequel 3 action sequel 3 sci-fi action sequel 2 biography 2 sports action sequel toy adaptation video game adaptation disney remake And The Eras Tour, a concert smash! 1
Junipero Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Superhero movies were fads just like cowboy movies of the 1960's. 1

This! also I was trying to go to the Era’s tour but my theater was only playing them on the weekends for some reason and those are days I work. So hopefully it comes on Netflix or something soon
