Dua's always been a slow burn type of artist. That's arguably way better in legacy building than a quick single that instantly hits its peak then tumbles. January's the real test IMO

(Although that being said, I haven't actually heard anyone outside of stans mention the song yet, but attributing that to Christmas now)

The song just isn't strong enough but I'm sure she has better material cooked up. And when you look at her career history with all the false starts her first era had, abandoning Houdini and pushing a new song instead wouldn't be a big deal.

 

I'd love her to go back to songs more like Last Dance, Hotter Than Hell, Be The One, etc. Maybe it's an unpopular opinion but I think DL1 is better than Future Nostalgia. I loved FN for a week then got bored of it. Just no more disco influences, please.

Underperforming. It’s doing well versus other artists but there’s way more at play here because Dua is expensive to manage.
