So? Whats this unwritten rule that if you come from a big era you have to debut at #1 :rip:

You don’t have to debut at #1, but what fan base is she building if she STILL needs months of TTH residencies to get anywhere

It's literally been a week :rip: Dua has always been a slow and steady type of pop girl. Let's circle back in a few weeks and see where we're at before we write this off totally. I mean, look at what happened with Dance the Night and Doja Cat's Paint the Town Red and Agora Hills; all of those songs started slow and then took off.

It’s an okay song but nothing special. It’s not distinctive or catchy enough for most casual listeners to want to repeatedly listen. It’s quite forgettable really. The reason we are having this conversation was because it’s DUA song. If it was an unpopular artist, we won’t care about the song

Should Dua have kept the signature black hair

Don't give them any ideas, PLEASE.

We're still recovering from the Katy with long black hair nonsense.

Y’all put way too much emphasis on that stupid ******* playlist :rip: theres songs on that playlist that dont even chart on global. Shes still top 10 for the whole week and is debuting higher than ever before and thats basic facts. the video did like what? 16M views in one day too? Lets cut the bs and just enjoy the music. Cause she’s literally doing great.

It's just not exciting. Today this song was playing in the mall and my boyfriend said it was Ava Max or Bebe Rexha singing :rip:

Love Dua Lipa, but it’s giving Forever 21 or GAP shopping music.

Don’t Start Now got you out of your seat and captured your attention.

this. the word gets thrown around a lot, but Don’t Start Now sounded like an actual RESET, like i can’t stress that enough. of course we can’t expect someone to do that every time, but it does prove what she is capable of. Houdini is cute for what it is, but it’s just not up to the standards she set for herself.

I hope that I feel like this song is just an introduction to the new era and she has a smash up her sleeve but will release it next year when the Christmas songs disappear from the charts

the way the song is “not that good” after it underperformed but y’all were calling it the best thing since sliced bread the other day :dies: people just stanning numbers at this point

Ava Max

Please don't manifest Kevin Parker getting his hands on Ava's next album :busted: Seeing him with Dua already has me concerned about this possibility

I think it's way too early to make any concrete judgments :rip:

Is it already time for single #2 ?

-I do believe she will release as many singles as possible until something sticks and then add it to inflate the album :chick1: Collabs outside of the album rollout, male rapper remix, you name it.

Should Dua have kept the signature black hair ?

-She is still faceless so I do not think the GP cares if she goes bald

Is Houdini too experimental for her audience ?

-  :dies:

or should her label invest in more promo ?

- She is the most promoted pop girl ever. What else can they do?

It is not looking good for Dua. They are already in major losses since the investment in promo is not returning back even if Houdini smashes later on

The lies deceit and fairytales. If Warner was really in major losses due to Dua they wouldn’t continue to invest in her, they’d drop her at the first glance or shelve her projects like the industry treats 95 % of female artists :priceless:

It's just a big step down from her previous work, nothing more than that :michael:

it's a really boring song sorry... anyway my cd and cassette arrived today.

Isn't it nice to have a plastic cassette in a cardboard sleeve? So much better for the environment!

DSN makes you want to move. Houdini feels... just there.

MV looks dirty and half baked ideas. DSN clean :kitty: etc.
