aesthetic bih Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Iirc Dance the Night also fell a bit in the first few days/weeks... I wouldn't count her out just yet.
Titanbaddie Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Every other Dua Lipa single hasn't taught y'all anything??? We'll revisit this thread in 3 months.
Blackout2006 Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Do y'all ever learn? I thought Levitating smashing 4 months after its release was enough to show you that Dua doesn't hit it right off the bat.

Relampago. Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 I love the payola excuse posts cause it means that all the payola other girls do and flop anyways means their music is truly bad, while Dua just needs exposure to smash with actual quality

What is your proof at some point every dua lipa lead singles has to smash?. Yeah It's true don't start now didn't start very strong and then became a mega smash...but It happened just one time (???).* And this Is the lead single after future nostalgia, a very very different context and career prospective from the launch of Don't start now *Dance the night was saved by the fact the movie turned to be One of the biggest movies ever, every song in the movie Is doing great but before of the movie It was disappearing from charts. And still It's just a decent hit, nothing special . Edited November 13, 2023 by vale9001 1

We shall see what happens.
#Beautiful Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 music not the bling Quote its gonna be a longevive hit in the long run just give it time
baelani Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Haven’t even bothered to listen to it. I’m not really in the mood for a high energy dance song when the world is crumbling 1 1
Sad Serenade Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 I remember a similar thread about Calm Down. And look how big is now. ATRL never learns. It could be an underperformance or not but let's wait a couple of weeks, at least.

Gelato Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Don't Start Now felt fresh when it was released and it smashed because it was a good song. Houdini is neither fresh nor good. She can do so much better than this song. 5 1 5
Elusive Chanteuse Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 I don’t get star quality or longevity from her even though I like the song
tiagol88 Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Yall don't know what freefalling even means lmao 2
Cherish Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 Because she didn’t put the CD single on her damn US website. I’m eating this song up 100%.
Nico Robin Posted November 13, 2023 Posted November 13, 2023 I'm ready for this thread to receive it's deserving bump in about a month or two, or three 1

My post has nothing to do with her previous singles but more with the fact that ATRL has this tendency to speak too soon about a song's performance and then, months later, those threads get bumped because the song has turned out to be a hit. We don't know if this will eventually smash or not but as I said, this site still hasn't learned the lesson. 2
SchmoodRing Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 yall are freaking weird and have nothing better to do. if you dont like the song then dont hear it. if you dont like the video then dont watch it. but to act like dance the night is some flop and that this song is doomed or dead on arrival is such an overreaction. 3
Mr. Duff Posted November 14, 2023 Posted November 14, 2023 I think it's doing consistent, not a big splash but it's not freefalling. I love the song so I wish it could be a huge debut but a nice longevity will be great for this song. 1
