Let’s see if Dua is still getting a top 10 (uk) and a viral hit in 30 years. It’s hard when the younger artists have extreme playlist support to compete with that. But Kylie stuffed up and could have had the latest album full of padams.

It's great that the song is allegedly smashing in Europe, SA or wherever else. But there's no doubt it in my mind that for this era, it's how she's performing in the US that her label will be watching closely.

Houdini already fell below 4 million streams worldwide on Spotify. Despite intensive promo and playlisting the single streams are not increasing. Is it already time for single #2 ? Should Dua have kept the signature black hair ? Is Houdini too experimental for her audience ? or should her label invest in more promo ?

How will this era perform for Dua. Discuss.

It's a nice song, it's just not that catchy.

She should lean into more of a rock oriented sound. I don’t know why more people aren’t jumping on that. That’s what a lot of Gen Z people listen to right now.

She just came off future nostalgia, she’s not some brand new indie act

So? Whats this unwritten rule that if you come from a big era you have to debut at #1 :rip:

Is it already time for single #2 ?

-I do believe she will release as many singles as possible until something sticks and then add it to inflate the album :chick1: Collabs outside of the album rollout, male rapper remix, you name it.

Should Dua have kept the signature black hair ?

-She is still faceless so I do not think the GP cares if she goes bald

Is Houdini too experimental for her audience ?

-  :dies:

or should her label invest in more promo ?

- She is the most promoted pop girl ever. What else can they do?

It is not looking good for Dua. They are already in major losses since the investment in promo is not returning back even if Houdini smashes later on

give it a month before calling a flop, it might need some time of force feeding for it to be a hit

Love Dua Lipa, but it’s giving Forever 21 or GAP shopping music.

it's just not that good of a song. she did not deliver to the extent that was expected. it would have been bottom three on her last album. but in general, this website has gassed her up and made her out to look way bigger than she actually is
