Into The Void Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 No that does not bother me in the least I'd prefer u call me bro over sis lol
Gladiator Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 (edited) I am not straight but I call people bro and dude. I am more bothered (annoyed by, rather than 'bothered') by being called "sis" or collectively as "girls" and "ladies" that seems prominent in more pop gay culture on forums. Thankfully I do not know any gays who actually do that in real life. Edited November 12, 2023 by Gladiator

I don't trust people who use it. like, who are you trying to impress? what's your vibe? It's giving you really need to leave the house or your social bubble more. Men calling each other bro is not a shred different from women calling each other sis/girl which I've never heard anyone complain about. It's just being friendly/collegial. 1
ICLDXU4HS Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I don't call people bro personally because it feels weird passing my lips. Most of my coworkers are Africans or Arabic speakers and they usually call me bro or habibi and that's fine by me. They're just being nice.
poki Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Lol I use the words bro and dude all the time. username checks out
Neyde Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 i hate it but in a it turns me on kind of way
Kiss It Better Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 it used to bother me, but now it doesn't and hell i even use it when talking to str8 guys now... i kinda like the word now
glitch Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 No one says bro here, I feel like that's more North American slang. The equivalent is probably "mate" which I don't really mind.
Frappucino Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 Straight guys talking to me to begin with is annoying.
MonsterJohn Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 It's very hot, especially when they are being flirty
modeblock Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 It's a lil' cringe, but it's usually meant in a kind/loving way, so I'm good with it. "Boss," however is HORRENDOUS, and it makes me physically cringe I do usually call them "sis, girl, honey" back tho (if I know them), and even got some of my straight friends saying "Guurl"
Anthinos Posted November 12, 2023 Posted November 12, 2023 I find the word bro annoying but I don't have a problem with people calling me bro or sis. I don't use the words myself. Saying Bro just feels weird as gay guy. I don't know why. I sometimes use "girl".
