ROL, but the other two are really really really close.

The Velvet Rope clears.

The fact that Come on Over and Impossible Princess were also released around this time. Would have been so cool to experience it

All are spectacular albums and none of them is overrated. This is literally the best popular music has had to offer in recent history.

Butterfly is my personal favorite but there's no wrong answer here.

Butterfly is by far the worst.
The other two are on another level.

The Velvet Rope > >>> Butterfly > Ray of Light

I'm shocked that any one of these albums can be called the worst among the three. I find them all to be top tier.

I'll vote Mariah because Fly Away (Butterfly Reprise) is a song that I just have to listen to weekly.

Honestly this is hard even for me. You can’t go wrong with any choice.

Xmas queen is doing xmas streams for her non-xmas music too, I guess.

324,459,305 streams - 1997 - The Velvet Rope

322,800,165 streams - 1997 - Butterfly

277,699,086 streams - 1998 - Ray of Light

oops, the backfire.

I refuse to vote and I'm grateful to live in a world where I can listen to all 3 any time I want.

Three absolute masterpieces of pop, leagues above anything the other girls have been doing for 15-20 years at least.

Madonna is a POC (Italian) and transspecies individual (Alien). We should factor this into our analysis here :giraffe:

WHAT a time to be alive, god

imo velvet rope > ROL > butterfly

I still think butterfly/ROL are kind of overrated. not because the albums are not excellent, there are some cuts that don't stand to the quality of the other tracks in each album.

though the highs in both are career highlights for real.

COADF for madonna is a better/complete body of work, as daydream is for Mariah.

The Velvet Rope easily clears.

I like RoL well enough, and Butterfly is fine. Mariah's more of a singles artist for me.

As much as I love TVR and Butterfly, I'm going to have to say ROL for Frozen alone.
