Civilian of Israel and you're proud of that? A fake country built on genocide, by US and UK money?

I tell you this: I live in Portugal, where Jewish and Arab people were kicked out off around 2000 years ago. Today, out of those, only Jewish people have the right to return and get a passport here. Personally, I think that is right for Jewish people and this right should also be afforded to the Arabs that wish to return.  That's what should be happening in Palestine, not the existence of Israel.

You call Palestinian resistance 'terrorism' right? Now consider this: if the US and the UK ordered a ******* country to be built on top of mine, forcing me and my family BY BLOOSHED out of our homes and created and apartheid system that discriminated us and removed our rights to exist, you bet I would pick up a gun and would join a rebelion against said state and the colonisers that live in it. You ******* bet.

In that situatuon, I couldnt give two shits if you called me a terrorist. You know who also was called terrorists? Nelson Mandela who simply fought for South African liberation. Jomo Kenyatta, who fought against German and British enslavement of Kenyans. Martin Luther King. Even the ******* Suffragettes in the UK were labelled terrorists.

Get some perspective about your little 'country'. Like Rhodesia, it will end.

So no, **** Beyonce and any artist who willingly shows or performs their art in Israel.

Lol no. Rhodesia faced global isolation from the very beginning. No single country in the world recognized the legitimacy of its government not even the UK. On the contrary, it was the UN that proposed a partition plan for Israel which led to its creation, and Israel has diplomatic relations with most of the world. Only Muslim countries oppose the existence of Israel. Other countries only criticize Israel for their treatment of Gazans, but do not oppose its mere existence. You’re so out of line with this comparison.

Many Latin American countries have broken relations and recalled their ambassadors from Israel due to their ongoing genocide of the Palestinian people. Chile, Colombia, Honduras, Bolivia, and many more.

Jesus 5 pages over something that's not even officially announced. Meanwhile the Eras tour film is still playing there and we're getting crickets in here. And then people wonder why we call out the racism on this site.

Lol no. Only the Western powers that have financial, military and racist interests in the middle east support Israel. The rest doesnt.

I never said it was LIKE Rhodesia. I said it would meet the same end. And it will.

Beyonce is a capitalist through and through. Is anyone shocked?

This is the same woman that released a “queer” album then ran to Dubai to perform for Sheikhs.

I like her a LOT but see right through her. :gaycat3:

We should change the title from potentially to "showing"

I’m actually happy for the israelians that love Beyonce and have nothing to do with what’s happening politically in the country. They have no fault in that situation and they shouldn’t be punished for it!

I want you to know the way that countries have applied foreign pressure for centuries is by sanctions and boycotting of their products. Movies are not being released in Russia (Including the Renaissance film) due to the war they've started in Ukraine that the US is funding billions of dollars in support of. Even the new Mortal Kombat (owned by Warner Bros) did not release in Russia. It's not fair to the fans, but it's things like this that add pressure to the government to change. Civil unrest is the best way to convince your govt to change.

Y'all sitting here saying "Who cares" and "What about the fans" when in reality, even a Beyoncé concert film can make some type of waves (and things like this have historically helped).

Beyoncé should pull the movie from Israel. If she pulled the movie from US and UK cinemas or other countries complicit in this-- even better.

And tell me darling, did that pressure change anything in Russia? I swear some of y’all are wild to think it’s okay to punish some innocent people for the gvt’s decisions.

A bit weird/funny at some member's reaction to this when compared to some reactions to Selena Gomez attending some Israeli guy's wedding... Oh ATRL, your inconsistency brightens my day. LOLLLL x

A partition plan that literally required the US to threaten countries if they don't vote for it.

Quote

Zionists launched an intense White House lobby to have the UNSCOP plan endorsed, and the effects were not trivial.[83] The Democratic Party, a large part of whose contributions came from Jews,[84] informed Truman that failure to live up to promises to support the Jews in Palestine would constitute a danger to the party. The defection of Jewish votes in congressional elections in 1946 had contributed to electoral losses. Truman was, according to Roger Cohen, embittered by feelings of being a hostage to the lobby and its 'unwarranted interference', which he blamed for the contemporary impasse. When a formal American declaration in favour of partition was given on 11 October, a public relations authority declared to the Zionist Emergency Council in a closed meeting: 'under no circumstances should any of us believe or think we had won because of the devotion of the American Government to our cause. We had won because of the sheer pressure of political logistics that was applied by the Jewish leadership in the United States'. State Department advice critical of the controversial UNSCOP recommendation to give the overwhelmingly Arab town of Jaffa, and the Negev, to the Jews was overturned by an urgent and secret late meeting organized for Chaim Weizman with Truman, which immediately countermanded the recommendation. The United States initially refrained from pressuring smaller states to vote either way, but Robert A. Lovett reported that America's U.N. delegation's case suffered impediments from high pressure by Jewish groups, and that indications existed that bribes and threats were being used, even of American sanctions against Liberia and Nicaragua.[85] When the UNSCOP plan failed to achieve the necessary majority on 25 November, the lobby 'moved into high gear' and induced the President to overrule the State Department, and let wavering governments know that the U.S. strongly desired partition.

Proponents of the Plan reportedly put pressure on nations to vote yes to the Partition Plan. A telegram signed by 26 US Senators with influence on foreign aid bills was sent to wavering countries, seeking their support for the partition plan.[87] The US Senate was considering a large aid package at the time, including 60 million dollars to China.[88][89] Many nations reported pressure directed specifically at them

NGL I think twitter's stan activism is the pits. All artists ship their merch to Israel, all movies are shown in Israel. All brands ship to Israel. All airlines fly to Israel, etc, and I didn't really agree with the outrage about Renaissance in particular, despite being a very outspoken anti-zionist...

Those videos kinda hurt tho. IDK what my opinion is on the matter, it's complicated. But man, those videos made me want to cry.

People are deeply misplacing their attention microfocusing on Renaissance being shown in Israel when the entirety of the west including the US, EU nations, and Canada are funding the genocide. If it is wrong in Israel, it is wrong in the countries that arm the colonial occupation. This means nothing. We need to be calling for a ceasefire in Gaza and freedom for the people of Palestine, not complaining about this nonsense.

Finally someone who thinks with logic, some of these chronically online users on X don't think with logic and use this situation to fuel her hate against her which is sick and twisted.
