Gov Hooka Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Apparently there is still time for the screening to be pulled: 3
Reflektor Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Here's a template email that can be sent to the addresses listed above if anyone is interested: Hello: Respectfully, I would ask that the Renaissance Film not be screened in Israel at the very least until a ceasefire is called. Art is important as it transcends all cultural barriers, but at the same time; it is very unseemly and callous to allow the screening of a film so much about joy, love, and freedom of expression in a country that has within a month massacred over 10,000 people with no end in sight. Thank you for your consideration. 2 3
Popular Post N.M.K. Posted November 9, 2023 Popular Post Posted November 9, 2023 So what's exactly wrong with civilians in Israel watching the Renaissance tour movie? 32 5 3
Dreajae Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Dates are not confirmed in Israel. Tickets are not on sale. And if they did, that's not Beyonces direct doing? So no other film is currently showing in Israel? 2 2

Thank you for your consideration. I wonder if it was set to be screened in Gaza if you would be writing a letter in protest, given that the governing authority is still holding 240+ innocent people hostage, or if your arbitrary standard of punishing citizens of a country is only imputed on the one Jewish state in the world :/ 9 1 1 29

family.guy123 Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Canada is currently and admittedly perpetuating genocide against First Nations. Why can Canadians watch the movie but not Israelis? 6 1
Horizon Flame Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 I wonder if the Iraq war was going on now if stan Twitter would call on musicians to not tour the U.S. and the UK. 5
DUA LIPA Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 i’m pretty sure most distributors for media (music/film/shows) have their subgroups in israel. 1
dumbsparce Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 So once Israel ceases fire it'll suddenly become okay to show the film there? Human stupidity knows no bounds. 8 1 1
Capris Groove Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Given that the US has funded Israel more than any other country, should the film be shown there? 🇺🇸 1 1

ICLDXU4HS Posted November 9, 2023 Posted November 9, 2023 Artists get dragged for announcing tour dates in Israel all the time and many have canceled so it’s fair to ask her not to show her movie there at a time where the aggression against Palestinians has accelerated to a different level. 4 2 1 4
