Upon further reflection, I’m not shocked. Cardigan is a classic and one of the best songs of all time

ROM was a quick hit but a legitimate hit nonetheless.  Everyone knows of the song.  
 

Cardigan surpassing it is irrelevant, it’s a lead single from a recent Taylor Swift album.  What did you all expect?  She’s the biggest artist on earth currently performing her catalogue of music and more people than ever are listening to her.  Gaga is semi-retired and only cares about makeup and movies.  Taylor is seeing the rewards of the work she puts into her music career while my fav is seeing the results of hiding in her Malibu mansion.  It just makes sense.
