I just realized most pop girls' sophomore albums are good to excellent (The Fame Monster, Teenage Dream, Fearless, 21, Happier Than Ever, Melodrama, GUTs, EMOTION, Ooops I Did It Again, A Sweet Escape, A Girl Like Me). The most disappointing album I can think of is Fergie's

Fergie’s second album was not bad at all, it’s pretty on par with the first one in a lot of ways. She just released it 3 years too late and it was a mess. There was a fun and successful era hidden in there somewhere.
