She needs better vocal production (or maybe this is the best they could have done with her vocals?) but overall promising

I thought the same thing when I heard her debut & hoped I’d be wrong after Greedy but it’s been 2 albums now & she just doesn’t have “it”. Compared to other sophomore efforts by artists doing a similar thing, she’s totally faceless & indistinct. The hooks aren’t sharp, she doesn’t enunciate, there’s no signature sound or brand. I found this faceless & forgettable on the whole. Greedy was the strongest thing on here by a mile. We’re Not Alike brought some much needed variety. I was blown away by Guts earlier this year after not liking Sour at all. I’m open to her growing & developing. But as of now, I don’t see the appeal at all. What’s her personality beyond being a composite of references to previously explored material? Get messy!

That said, it's a step up from her debut and on first listen I kinda liked 'think later', 'guilty conscience', and 'hurt my feelings'. The rest is painfully mid to weak. Hopefully she continues to show more growth with the next project.

Okay I finished  such a cute follow-up, I really do love this darker cuntier pop vibe for Tate. It fits her sooo well & I'm excited to see where she takes this sound next

 

RFTH is kinda insanely good... Hurt My Feelings is also LACED and I will be putting it on loop. Ready for more bops on the deluxe
