Maybe it's a close race and the other prediction was before today's spotify/radio update

I’m hoping PtTR gets a 4th week at #1. It would definitely help its legacy and put away the BS narrative of it being a ‘placeholder’ #1.

Besides, we don’t need a song with Summer in its title being #1 at this time of the year.

Come on Doja!

It's dead for Snooze :shakeno:

isnt Cruel Summer above PTTR still on overall radio and itunes? It's also just a bit behind PTTR in streaming so the sales and radio advantage will close the gap. I think CS has a 3rd week at #1 on lock.

Cruel Summer truly has one of the wildest top 10 runs I've ever seen

yes, let's ignore how well it's doing and just delete it from the charts since it bothers you it has "summer" in the title

No one said that CS was a frontloaded #1 with no longevity. If anything, people are saying that PtTR is a weak, placeholder #1, which is absolute BS. Which is why I want a 4th week, especially after a significant gap following the 3rd week at #1, so we can put an end to that nonsense.

The problem I would have is CS returning to #1 because it fell below PtTR this week. If it were to go to #1 next week, and jump back ahead of PtTR, that would be as suspicious as Butter returning to #1 the week after Permission To Dance.

If you were as much of a chart follower as you pretend to be then you'd know CS had some bigger drops on radio last week because they were playing several vault tracks and most of that audience has been recovered this week, which is why CS was slightly behind PTTR last week and could be slightly ahead this week. Nothing like BTS fans shifting their mass buying focus

You follow the charts, you know very well how and why CS went down to #6 this week. Don't you? :coffee2:

to those people who's pushing the narrative that CS wouldn't be #1 without the remix/live version... nice try, it was confirmed that Taylor had enough points to be at #1 without it... Go stream your favs song, you'll be doing yourself a favor instead of just embarrassing yaself

The vault smashing so hard :gaycat6:

The vault song more weeks top 5 than some girls' big comebacks after half a decade :deadbanana:

Once the winter freeze is over I hope she releases the Cruel Summer Eras Tour performance to youtube both to help Cruel Summer go back to #1 in January when the points are at their weakest but also to possibly promote The Eras Tour Film being on streaming services by then! Double homicide :-*

I think IION could totally gain a bit, especially if the weekday updates for streaming are good. The radio numbers are good for how early it is in its run, the streaming is quite good. If the Monday update is good tomorrow, I can see this estimate changing and IION actually having a chance at staying #1.

Based on it being stable on AM at #3, I think that's a good sign. The overall strength of the vault tracks on AM is really quite encouraging!
