I bet she will start plotting how to outdo 25's debut number with TS11 after this. She will need a lot of signed copies + a ton of traditional promo to reach the part of GP that is responsive to promotions.

This is absolutely insane. I've been a swiftie since 2011 and things like this still take me by surprise. She is the biggest artist on earth, no one can deny it anymore :jonny5:

Imagine doing these numbers with a rerecording and little to no promotion (no video, no signed cds, no interview).

TS11 is going to do at least 2M and I'm being so conservative. :jonny5:

Just so happy that I exist a world where I can witness this dominance and success. :clap3:

I remember the SN debut week and seeing the first projections of 800k-1 million, and being completely shocked that a 1 million debut would be possible.   Back then given how poor the sales market was, I thought it would be the last 1 million debut ever.

1989 really saw Midnights steal its spot as her biggest opening week and said "hold my Grammy"

crazy how big digital sales were back then. before streaming took over such that downloads were kinda...pointless.

apparently the vinyl didn't even come out until december that year.

I’m interested to see what narrative they debut after they have a chance to recoup from this slaughter.

And they will still try to argue that Britney’s peak was bigger.

It was lmao. It literally was bigger. ZERO social media or streaming and her and Madonna had the world in an absolute chokehold.
