nobody listens to beyonce so why would this be a surprise?

omg, is this true???

Not really. ATRL thinks that having first week sales and streams is the most important and shows that artists are still relevant.

But having huge singles work just as well in the long run.

It's the reason why I always said that Taylor and Bey not caring about having hits in the later part of their careers with the GP will hurt them in a decade.

Surely this will translate into Katy’s next project becoming a smash and producing several hits? :giraffe:

not her nor gaga

bey's new music is performing better than theirs which is a bad sign for them :celestial5:

Katy was a hit machine, hits after hits after hits. It all ended when she stopped working with Dr Luke tho

Katy has more mainstream songs that the GP knows. However that will change once the RENAISSANCE film comes out.  and I'm sure 'CUFF IT' will see a resurgence once Christmas and NYE comes.

Because taylor and bey are the only ones that don't care about singles anymore :rip:
I said in a decade. Bey stopped promoting singles a decade ago and now as this thread proves she is having troubles with her streaming numbers. It's logical that it will happen to taylor once the peak is over

Taylor is currently getting some of the biggest hits of her career though (Anti-Hero, Cruel Summer, and IION is also smashing and getting picked up by radio now too so we’ll see how far it goes) so I don’t get this narrative? Taylor has both smash singles and albums :deadbanana2:

Except it goes against 17 years of evidence that show that Taylor has always been the pop girl with one of, if not the best best recurrent performance of her catalog, be that weeks on the chart, number of projects charting or recurrent streams. There is no indication whatsoever that Taylor's will be hurt long-term in any capacity by her "lack of hits", which isn't even correct to begin with as she currently has over 40 songs pulling 500k+ streams daily, even when we exclude '1989 (TV)'.

Taylor albums always had stronger longevity than Beyonce even before the streaming era.

See, that's why you are not taken seriously. Keep arguing that Anti-Hero and Cruel Summer aren't smash hits if it helps you sleep at night though.

She has two of the biggest hits this year.  This is why people say you are arguing in bad faith.
