Harley’s going viral, most of Katy’s hits being in the digital era that managed to translate well into streaming and the recent Katy sparking hype on her next album are playing a role.

 

Most of Bey’s hits are from the 00s and outside touring she’s not doing anything exciting since RENAISSANCE dropped, and wbk the tour is over now. Let’s see if the movie release changes things up.

I think it’s important to remember that Katy debuted a decade after Beyonce. 

As her hits are newer they will get more streams despite  even if both were the most streamed songs of their year.

I'm not surprised Beyonce recent projects have been very fan driven and with poor longevity. She has like 2 remembered singles with decent (but not great) streams Halo and Crazy in Love. The Renaissance singles are already doing horrible on streaming and will soon join Lemonade in terms of forgotten projects.

Yeah, the most streamed female song of the 2000’s only has “decent, but not great” streams

I'm talking about daily streams. I doubt Halo will keep that title for long given its mediocre daily streams compared to other 2000s female hits

Even if Katy is flopping now, her catalogue with huge global and remembered hits is making that up.

It's also important to remember that Katy last successful project was released a decade ago while Beyonce has just released a "smash" album last year according to her fanbase.

ASIB is right there and Rain on my ***** is also a Smash hit + bloody titz was one of the biggest moments last year. The woman doesn’t release music anymore but sure her numbers are doing great.
