Rachel is allegedly part of a cult wellness community maybe it's not as easy to leave/do things? I doubt Lizzy was asked, Daniel is still friends with Lindsay/Amanda/Lacey and after the Plastics he's prob the most popular character. I'm more surprised Jonathan didn't find a way to shoe horn himself in since he's also close w them

They've been wanting to reunite forever and likely jumped at the chance + prob got a nice check considering Walmart puts in billions of $ in advertising

Waiting around for things to happen is why it's been 20 years with nothing substantial 

 

I'm glad they did this so fans can see them together again and it's out before the movie musical + apparently there'll be more this month:

This was really cute considering it was literally just Mean girls (Walmart’s version) ….but it felt completely wrong to have Lacey be both Gretchen and Regina (“get in the car” ,the Christmas dance) like I get they had to have those iconic scenes but without Regina it doesn’t hit.

Kevin/Rajiv has also remained in touch with them over the yrs so I'm sure it's easier, Lizzy and especially Rachel are the ones that aren't as close. I'd be really surprised if Jonathan doesn't pop up in one of the other commercials coming this month  (but I'd rather get more Lindsay/Amanda/Lacey instead though!)

This is what I hate about stan culture… it’s an easy six figure check for literally 1-2 days of work and u get to reprise a role that means so much to people… it’s a fun quick win-win situation. It’s not meant to be Oscar worthy.
