Xtina is now the only pre-2000 MPG with 2 songs over 1 billion, surprised?

LOL "pre-2000 MPG" is such an arbitrary misnomer when Xtina was quite literally in the middle of her DEBUT era in the year 2000. She's definitely of the early millennium girls. Pre-2000s MPGs are women such as Madonna, Janet, Whitney, etc.

Christina's debut album literally came out in 1999...??

Since when is "Say Something" a Maroon 5 song?

A Great Big World did that :clap3:

Yes, they did that which is why they don't have another 1 billion streamed song unlike Xtina. :clap3:

Just gave Slay Something another stream while haters here write essays and pop their veins :fan:

Already streaming. We love a GRAMMY-winning, billion streamed classic ballad. Not everyone has that!

Also, we're on the eighth page and these dummies think they're "clocking" or "dragging" Fighters by replying when really they're just giving more attention to this achievement by constantly bumping this thread. :rip:

To be fair I’d have said that Bey debuted as a solo act in 2003, unless she had solo songs out in 1999.

The bigger picture here is how our faves have these trusty ballads as 1bn on Spotify but we continue to beg for dance-pop:gaycat1:

Wow she's really a legend :clap3:

her last charting song was over a decade ago.

An Adele stan that happens to hate both Gaga and Xtina ?!?! I wonder if there’s something else to that.

I don't hate Xtina. I just think her accomplishments are overplayed seeing her stats. and she's not worthy of being called a "Legend"

Beyonce in 1999:

We got a B solo feature and a co-lead in 1999. These are as solo as Christina's 1B streamers... *shrugs*

lol darling I know when it came out hence, why I said she was in the MIDDLE of her debut era in the year of 2000. Her being a pre-2000s girl is only on a technicality. Her Britney, DC, and everyone else that came at the eve/dawn of the new millennium are not of the same generation with their predecessors, who actually debuted, peaked and had their primes before the year 2000. That's why I was saying it's a bit silly to call her and her direct peers pre-2000 MPGs

This is one of the better stan base names, actually. It's clever and ties into her music. Much better than the typical -ics and (BTS/Britney) Army.

And 331M streams for a solo song is more than I can say for her other late 90s peers, such as JLo.

It is not. It relates to everything but her music. Try hard flop ish name tbh.

Do you hate ballads? Does everyone hate ballads on here? Dance pop gets annoying quickly... Ballads are timeless.

No one is delusional enough to think Britney or Legend X are more successful than Beyonce. Beyoncé is obviously on Michael Jackson level of success with critical and commercial acclaim and celebrity overall globally. I personally love Beyonce so I’m not knocking her at all. I wish Christina would have flawless eras like her. Oh well, I will keep wishing. But it’s really great to see that Xtina has some songs with massive streams so we’re just celebrating that. Also it’s hilarious how triggered the fans of the other girl get when we point out that Christina got to 2 songs over 1 billion first and that’s just a fact. It’s really not that deep.
