Xtina is now the only pre-2000 MPG with 2 songs over 1 billion, surprised?

Beyoncé stans in this thread need to give it up with the technicalities. No one thinks of Destiny Child songs, or those random flop collabs, as her debut. Her official debut is the iconic "Crazy In Love" and that was in 2003. She already has 2 1B songs for the 00s decade. So I don't know why they're in here.

This thread is literally about songs not even on a Xtina album though, the irony:rip:

It's the same logic, Beyonce has songs out in the 90s as "Beyonce", not Destiny's Child. And it's not like the GP didn't know who Beyonce was in 1999:skull:

They're on her Spotify page. She is credited on the song. Take it up with Spotify and RIAA.

Also, "Say Something" wasn't a hit until Aguilera's version was released. Do you people skip over reading posts before replying?

I didn’t even know this I don’t really follow stats that much. This is an amazing feat!!

Stripped is taking a little longer because its streams are split due to all of its 5 iconic singles as opposed to just one:

"Beautiful" (300M)

"Dirrty" (222M)

"Fighter" (200M)

"Can't Hold Us Down" (73M)

"The Voice Within" (38M)

+ all of the album track streams

This is more impressive as it shows that the GP is consuming the full album as opposed to just one single. Xtina really created a full body of work with it.

As for the Britney stans, their downplaying Xtina's impact is expected. Can't wait until "Feel This Moment" gets to 1B on Spotify next. :clap3:

Someone is not deemed a (solo) recording artist only when the public first takes notice of you, nor when everybody "thinks" it is. It is from when you actually began professionally recording and releasing material under your name. It's a technicality, sure, but it's not as if Beyoncé was some nobody who just happened to be featured on platinum selling albums and only made it big four years later. She was also the lead singer of Destiny's Child, a group that was fairly well known at the time, having (as of 1999) a massive hit #3 hit on their debut album and then following it up with a #1 on their sophomore. Not only that, but it's also a technicality to say that an artist who was the lead singer, face and creative force of a group didn't exist in 1990s pop simply because she was recording as part of a group. By that logic, Diana Ross didn't exist in the 1960s as a recording artist, having released her first solo album in 1970. Meanwhile The Supremes and by extension Diana are one of the most important and defining musical acts of the decade.

Even in the case of someone like Alanis Morissette whose first two albums were only released in Canada, though people may think Jagged Little Pill was her debut album, it actually was not and any amount of reasoning around it isn't going to change that.

Anyway, it is a little bit funny that we are fighting over the right to be called a pre-2000 artist, when it is a question of debuting in 1999, less than 12-months before the cut-off. Or in Christina's case, if we are going with soundtrack recordings being a debut, about 18 months.

So with 20 tracks and 5 singles Stripped hasn't crossed the 1B mark?

They are not, these are some just fans streaming, these numbers are not "GP is streaming" kind of numbers :rip:

And I'm not even trying to be shady, but y'all seem to try it always with the "just one song from an album" kind of "drag" like some of those aren't outstreaming whole albums...

No, this is the reason it's taking a little longer:

"Beautiful" 111k streams

"Dirrty" 81k streams

"Fighter" 78k streams

"Can't Hold Us Down" 32k streams

"The Voice Within" 11k streams

Xtina fans doing mental gymnastics to try and convince themselves that Beyoncé debuted in the 00s artist is funny. It’s like saying Michael Jackson is a 80s artist or Cher didn’t debut until after Sonny.  Like Bffr.

Michael Jackson solo debut was in 1972. Beyonce solo debut was in 2003.

The way you brought your fave into it shows how insecure you are that 80% of In The Zone's streams come from "Toxic" and the rest of the singles are forgotten. :rip:

The Xtina fans in here doing Olympic level mental gymnastics to try and convince people Beyonce isn’t an artist from the 90’s, while crediting her for a song she’s on for literally 20 seconds as her most streamed song :rip:

This is one of the better stan base names, actually. It's clever and ties into her music. Much better than the typical -ics and (BTS/Britney) Army.

And 331M streams for a solo song is more than I can say for her other late 90s peers, such as JLo.

Beyoncé stans still not understanding that no one is saying that she isn't an artist from the 90s, we're just saying that she wasn't a proper SOLO artist until the 00s decade.

The reading comprehension on this website is abysmal. :rip:
