Xtina is now the only pre-2000 MPG with 2 songs over 1 billion, surprised?

Reality has been cruel to a certain fanbase and the kii is Xtina remains unbothered and happy and that other fanbase has to suffer humiliation after humiliation :fan:

Legend X’s Say Something DID THAT and when the song won a GRAMMY, A Great Big World said the song was only successful because of Christina Aguilera’s mega stardom which is obvious. :allears:

Beyoncé debuted in 2003, its a fact. It seems like that fact bothers you a lot. You should ask yourself why

true

im happy that Christina is so successful in every way imaginable, including having a stable and healthy life and family. I guess some people can have it all

Oh but Beyoncé debuted in 2003 so that makes Xtina the first.

The RHF already said they’re basing Beyoncé eligibility to be inducted based on her 2003 debut and Destinys chale eligibility based on their 90’s debut so they’re two separate recording artists/career

This song came out in 2000 so...

I'm sure there's some song I'm forgetting in 1999 or whatever

Cause it physically hurts some people on here to give Xtina credit where credit is due.

Let Xtina have her own records and achievements too, you'll be okay. It's not that serious. :toofunny2:

It's funny how the fighters claim MLJ stats as their own but whatever, Say Something deserves so I'm happy for Xtina and A Big Great World.

This side project is cute! I hadn’t heard of it! Thanks for sharing. And Beyoncé’s official debut as a solo artist was in 2003. :gaycatina1:

If we're being technical, Beyonce debuted as a solo artist in the 90s as via the credits:cm:

Dangerously In Love is just her 1st album era

If Xtina stans can claim song features as a milestone of a success for Xtina then Beyonce debuted when she debuted, which was before 2000.

Beyoncé is bigger than Britney and Xtina and has worked hard for what she’s accomplished. I love Beyonce so I’m not knocking her in any way. I love that Xtina and Beyonce both respect each other. At the end of the day this isn’t a real title, but officially, by when the industry recognized Beyonce as a solo artist, that was in 2003. Before 2003 she was a member of the legendary Destiny’s Child. It’s all silly stan talk anyway. I’m happy for Christina Aguilera’s massive success scoring songs with more than 1 Billion streams, that’s a major feat and it’s funny because certain fans work overtime to discredit her but can never take away Christina’s legendary status. :gaycatina1:

Actually in 1999 she had two songs released as "Beyoncé" only (not Destiny's Child):

A feature on Missy Elliot's Crazy Feelings

And After All Is Said and Done with Marc Nelson on the soundtrack of The Best Man.

Both albums she appeared on went platinum too, so it's not as if these were entirely obscure instances.

Stripped is less than 75 million streams away from crossing 1 billion on Spotify, and that's without just 1 single taking up 80% of the album's streams. :alexz2:

Beyoncé stans in this thread need to give it up with the technicalities. No one thinks of Destiny Child songs, or those random flop collabs, as her debut. Her official debut is the iconic "Crazy In Love" and that was in 2003. She already has 2 1B songs for the 00s decade. So I don't know why they're in here.

As for the Britney stans, their downplaying Xtina's impact is expected. Can't wait until "Feel This Moment" gets to 1B on Spotify next. :clap3:

This is an appropriate point. If Christina's features deem her to have twice achieved billion-streamed songs (which she absolutely has), then Beyoncé's features must also count in situating her as a solo recording artist as of 1999.

I don't even really care to say "BEYONCÉ TOO" so she is included in this stat, but it matters more because in general when people discuss pre-2000s artists, they tend to ignore Beyoncé's late 1990s group AND solo work in order to just skip to 2003 as if she suddenly started making music that year, and that pre-2003 she had not in fact:

  • put out four albums (with Destiny's Child)
  • sung on four soundtracks (solo)
  • had four solo features on other artists' albums (Missy twice, Amil and Jay)
